I currently have no bans or warns on this server Describe your current level of activity on the server: My level of activity is not yet determined but on other servers, I.E: SRP. I am very active, playing at least for a couple of hours each day at the very least. Do you have access to a microphone? Yes, of course! I talk on mic very often Do you have any previous experience with police work? I wouldn't say that I am familiar with police work but I understand some aspects of it like rights from just hanging around police in real life. However, I find myself to be a really adaptive learner, if given the opportunity to pick up concepts! In SRP which is another roleplay server on minecraft, I have also had experience with the type of roleplaying you would have to do, etc and what it takes to be one. Do you have any experience with CombatRP? I am very familar with CombatRP and understand the fundamental aspects of it. I have been learning GangRP for a significant period of time in SRP and even managed to become an higher up of an UVG (Unverfied Gang) there and I have had many opportunities to develop an understanding for it. However, with being said there is plenty of room for improvement and I am willing to explore that in more depth such as being an police officer. The polar opposite in this new server! What motivates you to apply for HPD? My main motivation to apply for an role in HPD as I want to develop more understanding within the PoliceRP side of things and think I could be a great help when booting up the police force for this server! I am also motivation with the cool feature that this server has implemented and more opportunity to have police to criminal encounters which will lead to more roleplay opportunity. I would like to say that they are my main motivations to apply to HPD and join the upcoming police faction in Himera Roleplay IC information: Character name: Hunter Yoshida Character age: 24 Nationality: Australian-Korean Preferred pronouns: He/Him What motivates your character to join the force? From an young age, he was heavily involved with delinquent crime and that really defined his character for a majority of his teenage years. He was always running from the police and getting in trouble at school, careless to how he was affected from the outcome of his own behavior. Though, his whole perspective was flipped in a 180 when he encountered an Police Sergeant named Kenji Yoshida who basically took Hunter under his wing as his adoptive father. Kenji taught Hunter his ways, becoming Hunter's idol through his final adolescent years and inspiring himself to enroll into Police Academy after he graduated college in Japan. Is your character familiar with self-defense? Hunter developed the mentality that he needed to battle just to survive, raised by his biological father who seemed to care about an drop an alcohol than his own blood, helped him really establish this idealation. Though with that mentality, he learned to talk with his fists and instead of talking about his problems, he used to lash out at others who did him wrong. Being bullied for some bit of his life, he had to pick up useful combat moves to defend himself from the older kids at his school, soon it came second nature to him, they soon learned to not mess with that scrawny kid with the weird white hair. He then met Kenji, who taught him everything he needed to know, it was an hard process as Hunter refused to open up but he got through to him. Police Academy also taught him how to defend himself properly and even helped him to become first in his police class over in Japan before he made the dramatic move to Himera, Tanoa. How well does your character work with others? Being quite uncapable to trust others in his early youth, it made him very hard to work with others as he felt like he was truly wronged in his past. He tended to be an lone wolf of some sorts growing up, not having too many friends really. But Kenji really helped him to break through that mental barrier and helped him grow trust in others. He still is really on edge with it but he is working on it and can add to an team if needed be which police work revolves heavily on team communication. Is your character independent or a team player? Like said before, he does tend be independent due to his prior trust issues with others etched into his character development. But, if needed be to work in a team, he can be quite adaptive in that regard and will be an quite versatile member of the team. What makes your character unique? Hunter's unique factor is displayed in his personality principles, he can be a quite humorous person despite his over-riding trust issues and that could be an great aspect when it comes to team building and bonding. Although, it will take time to develop gain trust, it will be worth while. His drive is a good factor aswell, he pushed to be like his idol, his adoptive father Kenji. He establishes himself in his own work to be like him and what he fostered in adolescent Hunter. Backstory [100+ words] Australia, Birth - 6 years old: Hunter Yoshida was raised in his early years by his biological mother, Audrey Bailey whom he loved dearly. His father looked very similar to Hunter's appearance. His mother failed to mention much about his father but he couldn't really hate her for it because he soon got to know what type of person he was. Hunter's father, Ray Choi was ruthless and abusive to say the least, he only longed to see the bottom of an alcohol bottle and his company that was built on lies and corruption. With each year that Hunter would age, his father would get worse and the more abusive he became. That is also how Hunter obtained an vertical scar over his right eye as his father cut an scar into his eye. Shortly after that traumatic experience, he sent Hunter off to boarding school over in Japan. Japan, 12 years old - 16 years old: Attending an boarding school in Japan, Hunter would see this an sort of escape from his abusive lifestyle from his father. But with time, he was soon bullied ruthlessly from older classmen at the school. Often calling him worthless and scrawny, how he will not amount to anything. Instead of shying away, Hunter did the opposite and decided to fight. He talked with his fists to put it simply, from the constant bullying, lead him to an path of his delinquent endeavors. He put very little effort into school, even though he was actually quite intelligent. With his father always on his back about the image he was creating and how it was affecting the heir of his company, he got fed up with his father's control and abusive behavior. He decided to put an case into the government about emancipation from his guardian, which he ended up winning. Soon after, he was expelled from his school leading him with no prospects of his life, only at the age of 16. But soon after when he was stumbling the streets of Japan, he stumbled into an police officer and that is when he met his adoptive father, Kenji Yoshida. He saw something in Hunter that others didn't and knew that he had potential. He took the young boy under his wing, teaching him everything that he needed to know. Japan, 16 years old - 18 years old With proper mentoring and a good father figure to look up to, Hunter decided to get his life back on track and follow in Kenji's footsteps. Then he enrolled into an Bachelor of Criminal Justice & Criminology at an university and that is why his obsession to be an police officer started. Japan, 18 years old - 23 years old Obtaining his full degree with high prospects, he enrolled into his local police academy to obtain his training. It was brutal and his whole mental dynamic was flipped on his head, his whole perception of what it takes to be an police officer was shattered and that was something Kenji failed to explain. With determination, he never gave up and he wanted to be better that made him graduate first in his class. He was offered multiple opportunities of employment but he chose to take the potential opportunity of working for the Police Department in Himera, Tanoa. Triggering the tazer off and hitting them on their chestal area to seize any movement. He would radio for other officers to attend the scene, if needed then he would approach the neutralized person, handcuffing them and immediately detaining them for further punishment. Hunter was casually doing his own thing at the station, perhaps reading an book or playing ping pong with other officers. He hears his radio sound with an distress signal, he drops everything to go gather his equipment and ran to the officer's exact location that was mentioned. He scanned the surroundings to see what the problem was or issue, once deemed safe to approach. If the officer was injured, he would radio an paramedic on scene and remove the officer from harms way before searching all individuals involved and pin pointing nearby CCTV cameras to check for further analysis.
