I want to create a fun roleplay experience that everyone can enjoy and be entertained by, and pursue a personal dream of mine through my newest character, Ai Doruyashi! In real life, I love to sing and dance, which I think makes a perfect candidate for this role. The activities in the club tackle a bunch of fun, bouncy aspects: choreography, lyric-writing, action-writing, and my favorite part: CHOOSING SONGS! My passion is music and dance - and I love, love, LOVE to write as such, too! I want to share this experience with the other players of Himera, bring everyone’s hopes and dreams to true, and have fun in the midst of all of it! Why should we select you to become a Club Head, as opposed to other applicants? Although others applying for this position have exceptionally well-written applications, I believe I’m the perfect candidate as Club Head because I can come up with creative event ideas, have a very clear vision of what I want to create in my head, and absolutely aaaadore what I do! I have exceptional leadership skills, and I’ve developed the skill of explaining and getting my point across! Not only that, but I can be very enthusiastic! Of course, I have an off switch, when the time is needed. . but let’s not delve into that right now! 1. Organizational skills! I’ve always had a knack for organizing - and what better to project that into rather than my job as club president? I can plan meetings, maintain structure, and not rear off course! I love to be spick and span when it comes to organizing things! 2. Communication skills! I do my very best to be effective in both speaking and listening - and, quite frankly, I’d say I’m pretty darn good at it! I can communicate clearly and persuasively, and ensure that all members of my club feel warmly welcomed and informed. 3. Passion! What would the performing music club be without passion? I mean, do you expect us to just stand still while awkwardly singing? Of course not! Bask in the shine, you only live once! I am incredibly excited for this club and what it is going to accomplish, and I would say I’m pretty enthusiastic about it! Excitement and enthusiasm are contagious. What events and activities will you host for your club? Event ideas: 1. Performance Presentation Members will split into groups, and agree on a song from scratch to perform at a school event in collaboration with SLT and faculty. Members of the club will have to create graphs, sheets, (itemRP) and choreography for their performance! Each group will have 3 weeks to a month to complete their routine entirely, with the following requirements: - Choreography (that is physical, not just roleplay; move around a little!) - Lyrics/singing (This is the music club, isn’t it? Use your amazing voice!) - Each person will have 4-8 actions in whole - moving in a rotation. - YOU must write all of your actions and only YOU. - Actions will include lyrics and descriptive choreography! The following groups will compete in a performance at another school event, or at a special one. Each group will demonstrate their performance in front of an audience (the student body), and when all groups have concluded with their presentation, the students will be able to vote for which group they think performed the best! The winning group will get a badge and/or trophy, and the participating groups will get a participation badge and/or trophy! Keep in mind, that this is nothing but a friendly competition. 2. Favorite song presentation! Each member will choose their favorite song to perform at a school event or within the club! Members will have to create graphs and sheets (itemRP) for their performance. This favorite song can be anything! There are no genres, other than fun, entertainment, and you guessed it- more fun! Requirements/rules: - No NSFW songs (non-offensive profanity allowed) - Choreography (optional, but recommended) - Lyrics/singing! - 8-12 actions! - Actions that YOU have written! No AI, please! - Actions including lyrics and descriptive choreography! - Use a Watch2Gether link! - Make sure that you make these actions keybinds. - It is recommended that your actions have 1-2 appends! Activities (what we do at meetings, etc.)! - Form groups! These can be girl groups, boy groups, or a mix of both! This club is recommended for aspiring idols and/or pop stars! - Share our ideas! Now, of course, I’ll need a little help brainstorming! This will be one of our main points! - Practice our routines! Practice makes perfect, right? - Walk around looking cool! All members of our club have automatic swag and are cool kids. - Dance to music! All of our dance skills could be refined, so what better to do than to fill your school day with dance? And many more! How would you decorate your club room, as the Club Head? As the esteemed leader of the performing music club, I want my room to be homey yet modern and electric at the same time! Colors will be my best friend! To give a not-so-brief explanation of exactly what I imagine my club room looking like, brace yourself. When you walk in, your shoes are greeted with crisp pinewood floors, free of any dust or signs of wear. The lively tune of the latest soundtracks from our members hums in your ears at a comfortable volume. To your left, is a bookcase filled with textbooks detailing how to read music and play numerous instruments such as the guitar, drums, keyboard, and many more! This bookcase seriously carried the brainpower of Beethoven himself! If he were born in the 21st century, ha. To your right, a short-lived wall of planks, showcasing the first-ever record labels and soundtracks released by Ai Doruyashi and our original members. As you took a few steps forward, you’d turn to your right to view a beautiful sight! Rows of guitars and basses hung on the wall, and at the end of the room, a small stage firmly planted its feet on the ground. In the back corners of the stage, drum cases, guitar cases- in fact, cases for almost any instrument you could think of rest. Speakers colonized the corners above the stage in the room. A drumset, multiple guitars, a keyboard, and a microphone were set up! The stage had colorful carpet and decor ranging from candles to banners and pictures! Below the stage, two desks were set up - a comfy, pink spinning chair underneath both of them. Stacks of paper rest on top of these desks, and in the drawer, papers and papers of song ideas. If required, members will have to fill out at least 3 lines of song lyric ideas, or words possibly used in songs. Each month, each member is expected to present a written song. This does not have to be performed, but it adds to the fun! Behind the desks, tables with comfortable chairs dotted the floor. Sitting in these chairs, are our esteemed, cool club members! They were discussing anything from the latest song release from Ai Doruyashi to what they had for breakfast - we music people don’t just talk about music! Stringing from the ceiling, colorful lights and decorations hung. Adorning the walls, are posters of practically anything music-related - W.I.P. Music Club posters, Ai Doruyashi posters, and some of our very own bands! Why is your club a good fit for Halcyon Academy? My club is a spectacular fit for Halcyon Academy because it brings people together in combining music (which everyone loves, c’mon now!), writing, dance, and friendship to create what is the Music Club! I want to create a safe space where people can express themselves while providing others with entertainment and fun roleplay in the process. My club will bring together everyone of all genders and ethnicities, and help underrated artists get the recognition they deserve! Not only that but the thought of starting my very own club is a racing thought invading my brain when I try to focus. It’s something I am INCREDIBLY excited about! What rules or requirements do you look for in new members? Although we won’t be that strict about these regulations, in auditions, this is what we’re looking for! - A great and clean reputation!
