Describe your current level of activity on the server:
Once I can even enter the server I plan on entering the server often, for example, something like so;
Monday | 4pm - 8pm(4 hours) Sometimes way longer
Tuesday | 1pm - 8pm(7 hours)
Wednesday | 3pm - 8pm(5 hours)
Thursday | Offline or up to two or three hours
Friday | 4pm - 8pm(4 hours)
Saturday | 11am - 8pm(8 hours)
Sunday | 12pm - 4pm(4 hours)
Do you have access to a microphone?
Yes
Do you have any previous experience with police work?
Barely, but I work with police IRL and more or less look into SRP KPD stuff and some of the police stuff here for Himera.
Do you have any experience with CombatRP?
Yes, been in a gang called Mefisuto which used to be called Valhalla and back to being called so, along with a few delinquent crews in SRP and overall just some basic combat with friends.
But its fairly limited with Himera as I’m not yet IN the server.
What motivates you to apply for HPD?
Well, with the craziness in SRP going on and with the uprise of my boredom, I felt as though giving Himera a try and try my hands on HPD, it seemed more put together and seem’s awesome for a start. I’m excited to see the growth in the force and how it will be different to the SRP PD. You guys seem to have some grand ideas and I’d love to be apart of that.
(You guys also have cool hats)

What motivates your character to join the force?
Monty has always had an appreciation for the Police Force, especially after they had helped him and his family out with his crazed uncle. Those events merely solidified the desire of becoming a cop himself, he felt almost in debt to the police for helping even though he knew he shouldn't besides that. Montana has found himself particularly drawn to the HPD for the longest time, ever since arriving to the new town from Mission Viejo and once getting his residency he figured he would improve with the language and actually attempt to get a job with the HPD.
Is your character familiar with self-defense?
Yes! He took up taekwondo for self-defence, but his training didn't stop there.
In the police academy, he went through a whole range of other forms of combat techniques; such training went from handling situations where weapons were involved to opponents in hand-to-hand combat, Monty learned it all with quite a bit of tears and stress mixed in. Whether it's facing off against an armed assailant or handling a scuffle without weapons, he's well-prepared or well, as prepared as one can be.
How well does your character work with others?
Montana takes pleasure in collaborating with his team, getting into the intricacies of each member's skills and personalities.
This understanding becomes valuable, especially when visioning and understanding on how each colleague may approach a combative or interrogating situation, or even working with inmates and their care. While his feelings toward team members may vary, with some being particularly enjoyable to work with than others. Montana finds he can still empathise with them and their perspectives or thoughts regardless. His more relaxed, composed demeanour allows him to understand his team members, fostering a deeper connection that helps when collaborating with them in the field no matter their terms toward each other, good or bad. It would be put to the side. So in short, he enjoys working with others.
Is your character independent or a team player?
Montana is a bit of both, once he understands traits, qualities and personalities of his coworkers he finds he can work with them fairly well. But of course, not all that glitters is gold and he may have to work alone, as much as he would like to have at least one partner to watch his six, sometimes it's not a possibility, so he’s more than willing to be independent but prefers not to unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.
What makes your character unique?
Montana is easily recognizable, sporting pale, dull ocean blue eyes, sun-kissed skin, and freckles adorning only his nose. Notably, a small nick on his lip. The canvas of his right arm showcases a tri-colored tattoo depicting a komodo dragon entwined in ivy.
Unique features extend beyond his facial characteristics; Montana's fingerprints seem to be absent, and a tiny beauty mark graces the back of his right hand. Standing at a well-built 5 foot 11 inches, he possesses rusty caramel-brown hair and emits a distinct scent amalgamating cigarettes and pine. A closer look at him reveals subtle dimples when he smiles, transforming his countenance into a warmer expression that contrasts with his default unimpressed demeanour.
Backstory [100+ words]
Childhood
Montana's childhood in Mission Viejo was pretty ‘colourful’, he lived alongside his cousin, Mother, Aunt and Uncle. He had explored the vibrant community that became their playground. Despite their shared origins from Tamaulipas, Mexico, Montana and his cousin were like night and day in terms of personality.
Maurice was the quiet, studious type while Montana on the other hand was the mischievous one with witty sarcasm.
Their interactions often involved Montana playfully teasing Maurice or, in some cases, reporting his cousin's minor inconveniences, often ratting him out for out of context behaviour, yes.. Montana was THAT, Cousin. Influenced by his father's stern role. Being a prison Warden and overall a more macho kind of man, which caused some issues within their childhood, taking a dramatic turn as Montana’s Uncle, Maurices father had earned some struggles with alcoholism and reached a breaking point, becoming violent and awfully concerning when it came to the safety of the children which had prompted Montana’s Tia(aunt) to relocate Maurice to Karakura, Japan, for safety.
Montana had faced a fairly difficult decision, ultimately choosing to stay within Mission Viejo with his relatives. He had to shoulder the responsibility of caring for both families, his immediate aunt and uncle. This caused him to grow up too fast. But, with his cousin's departure to Karakura Montana had found a small sense of duty in him for his full family despite their faults. He had learned the important traits of loyalty and perseverance, such qualities that would shape his character for years to come. Though, the lensing of his childhood was quite quick.. From pure innocence to carefree exploration and beginning of personal responsibility, he had lost the chance to be a child for long. But little did he know that these traits he had gained would help him as an officer and through the Police Academy but he wasn’t there mentally yet..
Teenhood
During Montana's Teen years, he was brought upon by a pursuit of deep commitment in serving others like his family, friends and loved ones. Though, his sense of purpose had continued to evolve as he navigated through life's struggles and hardships. His struggles with family life in Mission Viejo and of course, academically. Despite the strains within his family and losing his closest snitching target, his cousin. Montana had remained fairly committed to provide support and stability to those around him.
Montana stepped up in assisting his aunt in managing the aftermath of what had been going on with his uncle and her husband, helping with household responsibilities and or offering even emotional support the best he could. Montana had become a pillar of strength during this time, a reliable shoulder to lean on. Throughout his high school and early time in college, Monty encountered plenty of obstacles, but often refused to let them pull him down from his goals. Instead, he had viewed each challenge as an opportunity for growth. He felt as though it could be the reason, he leaves to see his cousin again after such a long time.
With an interest in law enforcement, criminology, and psychology. Montana pursued a fairly compiled education, immersing himself with coursework that would lay the foundation for his future career. Balancing academic pursuits with responsibilities was no easy task, but Montana approached it with determination. He volunteered in his community, including joining in on the odd ride along with local Police Departments, and maintained a strong academic record. While juggling the demands of family life, his actions. He had demonstrated not only his dedication to his own success, but also his loyalty to his family and community.
Adulthood
After enrolling in the Police Academy and solidifying his commitment to his career in law enforcement, Montana's journey took an unexpected turn when he reunited with Maurice in a simple yet heartfelt reunion. Joining cousin in Karakura, Japan, Montana embarked on the next phase of his training, expanding his skills and knowledge in a new environment. Leaving Mission Viejo meant bidding farewell to the role he had carved out within his family there, but Montana didn't abandon his responsibilities; instead, he brought his aunt along with him, ensuring that his family bonds remained strong even as he pursued his career aspirations abroad.
Adjusting to life in Karakura presented its own set of challenges, but Montana faced them with the same resilience and determination that had propelled him thus far. As he continued his training and immersed himself in the culture of his new surroundings, Montana remained fairly grounded by the lessons learned from his family, both near and far. Montana's journey serves as a testament to the influence of family dynamics and personal growth. He enjoyed the challenges and opportunities that came his way, forging a path marked by dedication, perseverance, and of course, his commitment to his chosen path in law enforcement.
Level of education [Associates, Bachelors, Masters, etc.]
Masters in Criminology, Bachelors in Forensic Sciences
Scenarios
If charged by an armed delinquent, how should you react?
Montana would fairly quickly see what he can do on his own, depending on if it was blunt or sharp of a weapon in the hand of the delinquent, if his taser doesn't happen to work, jams or anything he'd radio for backup and stay to keep distance, watching behind himself and around himself, checking corners and such to ensure there wasn't anyone else.
Upon hearing an ETA from a colleague of their arrival he'd attempt his taser once again, staying off centred to the combatant and once backup arrived he'd unarm the suspect whilst his colleague(s) cuff them. Taking the delinquent to the station while Monty stayed put to collect evidence such as the weapon in a bag depending on size or put on gloves with a garbage bag to grab it so fingerprints can stay in evidence, taking it with him to the station.
While you are at the station, another officer sends out a distress signal. What do you do?
This wouldn’t even be a thought, Montana would instantly take a look at the distress signal to see the location and like the first responder he was to get all of his stuff together in under a minute if he was to grab anything on the way out and get himself to the location as soon as possible checking CCTV of that area and anywhere around it, but of course, staying vigilant and taking notes of where he is and what's going on around him. Once he arrives on scene he’d take a look at what the hazards are, people, chemicals, etc and what the environment is like, such as if it’s snowy, rainy etc. If it was a criminal scene he’d walk carefully over, keeping an eye out to make sure they didn't have company before looking after his colleague if required, if the dangers were still there he’d do his best to get his colleague out of that area, tasing criminals if he must to help his colleague out and to safety.
You are surrounded by several armed individuals; how do you react?
Seeing as he couldn't tackle the situation alone with three or more people closing in on him, he would need to press his distress button sooner than later then trying to overthrow and get himself killed. While waiting for support to arrive, his priority was to hold his ground and minimise risk by using his taser to help reduce the threat and maintain distance from the others. If all went well, Monty would be likely to try to exit the scene completely or find a safer spot, avoiding any tight spaces, alley ways, or even corners to minimise any potential injuries. Monty would regroup with them to handle the situation together and ensure it was resolved effectively.
You believe a higher up officer is abusing their power, what do you do?
I would make every effort to remove my colleague from the situation and guide them out of the room, allowing my colleague to catch their breath. Once outside, I'd prioritise understanding my colleague's perspective, seeking insight into the reasons behind their actions. Afterwards, I would then turn my attention to the commanding officer who was nearest to report the officer for abuse of power.
