We also have auction tailors who periodically sell pre-made outfits to the highest bidder, and seasonal catalogs where players may snatch up somethin' special! However, Opaline doesn't just provide the public with tailors -- no, we provide much more! Here at Opaline, we provide artists for those wishing to receive art of their characters and other creations, and models who provide services in-house, and out-of-house! (100+ Characters): Blaire Adler was born in Mittenwald, Germany, to their parents Erika and Archie. After an unfortunate split, their mother moved herself, and her two children, to Seoul. She'd gotten a job offer she simply couldn't refuse, and thought the change of scenery, and sudden influx of varying cultures could be very good for the children. Blaire was two when the family had moved, and their mother was right--The move had been the right decision! Blaire was fascinated with everything they saw and got to witness, even at their young age! Two years later, when Blaire was roughly four, their mother mother deemed them ready for Korean lessons. Blaire wasn't ready for school yet, but their mother wanted them to be able to communicate with teachers and peers. And thus, Blaire, and their brother, were pushed into language lessons. Blaire was still young, and so learning this new language wasn't much of a difficulty for them. By the time they were school-aged, Blaire could easily work through the language! Their younger years of school are mostly a blur to them now, but they seemed to pass through fine! Once they were in their middle years, school started to change a bit. Blaire was introduced to more people, and their eyes really opened to the world around them! They discovered that not everybody was as fortunate with communication as they were, and they wanted to help change that. They wanted to learn KSL, so that they could have a chance to better work with everybody around them! Blaire begged and begged their mother to pay for lessons, and eventually, she agreed! Blaire started to work with a language teacher outside of school, the two working with this language. Outside of lessons, Blaire used flashcards and workbooks to help continue their studies, and even watched videos of online teachers! There were, of course, times where it wasn't easy for Blaire. Some motions just didn't stick! But, they persisted! By the time they'd entered their teen years, Blaire was using this language to their fullest potential. They could understand it thoroughly! Today, Blaire still uses this language! Blaire can be awfully chatty, and so this has been their biggest tool yet. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: As I sort of explained above, Blaire can be SUPER chatty! Like, there are times they won't shut up. And so, being able to have this language unlocked would help better the roleplaying experience. Blaire would be able to communicate with more people, and maybe even make lifelong bonds!

(100+ Characters): Mal-Chin Ahn was born in Seoul, South Korea, two his two lovely parents. While living in the big city, he was exposed to various different people and groups. There were people like him, born there in the city. People who had moved here from smaller towns, and even foreigners! Many different languages surrounded him as a boy, and he even took to trying to learn some of them! Even if, inevitably, he failed. As he grew, so did his awareness to those around him. After an unfortunate incident in his early teen years, he ended up in the hospital with a broken arm. And there, he discovered the career path he wanted to go down: Nursing! He did all he could while in school to guarantee his position later in life. But one subject had always stumped him. . Languages. Foreign, and native. You see, his school had each student take a foreign language class. And while he was excited, he just didn't know what to pick! He knew he needed to pick something that would happen to help him in the future, but what on Earth could that be? One day, while reviewing the selections, one caught his eye. KSL, Korean Sign Language. He lived in Seoul, a giant city in South Korea. Korea. As said before, his awareness of the world around him was growing. He knew that there would be a large population of those he encountered that were either deaf, or on the hard of hearing spectrum. And he wanted to be able to properly communicate with them as he helped them! And so, he took KSL as his foreign language. Now, it took a lot of studying for him to effectively understand the language. It is an unlearned language, after all! But, he persisted. He worked hard to understand, using various forms of flashcards, videos, and even workbooks! And while he was very good at learning, that'd always been one of his specialties, it was still difficult. He struggled. . A lot. There were times memorizing the motions was difficult, and times some didn't even stick! But he persisted, he was determined! By the time he was moving on to University, he'd passed his classes with high scores. And while he learned his Medical majors and minor, he still took classes! To this day, Mal-Chin understands the language very well. He knows most motions like the back of his hand, and effectively communicates with those around him, who speak the language! How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: Mal-Chin is a very social character! He enjoys being able to speak to those around him. That being said, having this language to use would help expand his communication ICly. He'd be able to speak with those who are deaf, or hard of hearing. This could lead to some lifelong bonds for him, and make roleplaying as him much more enjoyable!

Adult Application IGN: sleepiibee RP Name: Mal-Chin Ahn Age: 26 Character backstory and description (over 200 words): Mal-Chin Ahn is a young, Korean male who stands at roughly 5'6. 5'7, if it's a good day. He has a lean, mesomorphic body, built up with toned muscles from running around all the time. His hair is long, reaching just past his shoulders, and falling in loose waves. Color-wise, it's a dark, ebony brown, and ungodly thick. His eyes are a muddy, hazel mixture, and the gaze that follows them is gentle and welcoming. Mal has skin that's relatively tan, with olive-y undertones, and a few beauty marks scattered about! His ears are pierced, but it's rare that he has anything in. Mal-Chin Ahn was born in Seoul, Korea, on April twelfth. He was born to his two parents, Ha-Rin Choi, and Kyubok Ahn, and born to a quasi-happy family! As a child, his mother was home most of the time, as she wanted to spend as much time as possible with her son. This led to the two having a close bond, which continues to this day! Mal-Chin was an exceptional child, catching onto things very quickly. Whether it was learning to speak, to read, or even basic math! He hit each milestone rather quickly, meeting them on time, if not a little early. His mother went back to work just as he started school. His parents worked hard to put him into a good school system, where he absolutely thrived. He had teachers that would work with him, and he made good grades. When he was at the tail end of his childhood, his mother gave birth to another son, his dear brother Ishya! She, once again, stayed home, wanting to bond more with her youngest, and her oldest. Mal-Chin had an immediate bond with his younger brother, absolutely adoring him. He'd always volunteer to watch him, and volunteer to go do things! It's a lifelong bond that they have. Once Mal-Chin entered his middle years, he was immediately drawn to his school's Sports Club. He was drawn to the other members, and all the fun games they'd play! He was especially drawn towards volleyball, and once he was a teen, he joined his school's team! He played as a middle blocker, as he was able to jump up high, and easily block the ball with his hands! And yet, one day he managed to break his arm! He'd managed to land the wrong way during a game, and was immediately taken to the hospital. This trip, while insanely terrifying, sparked something in him. The way the hospital staff treated and cared for him made him want to do the same! And so, he started to focus more in class, and now played to keep his health up. Mal graduated school with incredibly high grades, and was accepted into a lovely Medical school! There, he studied and studied, and eventually graduated with double majors in Nursing Science and Biology, and a minor in Psychology. He then proceeded to have two years of residency, and worked within Haeundae Bumin Hospital! This, however, only lasted so long. He eventually moved back to Seoul, where his parents had just split up. It was over his father's opinion's on his occupation, but that's for another story. His mother moved away, and Mal-Chin took on his brother. The two now live in Seoul together, in a shared apartment!

Explain your character’s outlook on co-workers, personality, and future life. Mal-chin absolutely adores any coworkers he has. He finds that teamwork, especially in this line of work, is incredibly important. And so, he always makes an effort to be kind to his coworkers, and work with them in any way possible. Overall, Mal-chin is often a caring, and kind person. He's a sweetheart. Whether he be with a patient, or his close friends, he always acts in a respectful, and kind manner. He finds the happiness of the others around him important. He wants those around him to feel as though they can trust him, and be open! However, he's still relatively strict. He has his boundaries set, and he's very firm with them. Mal is an incredibly difficult person to anger, it really does take a lot for him to get up there. Heck, he's only ever grumpy at best! When he is angry, though, it's obvious. He's snappy, and he's very blunt. As of right now, he doesn't have a firm set plan with his future! He wants to have his job in nursing, of course, and plans to be with the hospital until his retirement. But other than that, he isn't very sure what he wants. I'm working on an actual, thorough backstory as of right now, this was a quick run-down! Mal-chin Ahn was born in Seoul, Korea, on April twelfth. He was born to his mother, who was a school teacher, and his father, who worked in a small medical clinic. He had a relatively normal childhood, most of which was spent in a lovely school that his parents worked to put him into. Inside that school, he got good grades, and had a great group of friends. Many of which he's still friends with! When he was in his late 'kid' years, very early preteens, his parents had another son, his brother! He spent his childhood as a normal child, partaking in neighborhood sports games. His life started to pull itself together when he was roughly twelve. He'd broken his arm while playing in a volleyball game, he'd landed the wrong way. . And, of course, he'd been taken to the hospital. There, he was introduced to the medical side of the world. The entire staff team and environment sparked something in him -- He wanted to work here, like this. He wanted to help people! And so, that's the path he went down. From that day forward, he focused more on his studies. He got excellent grades in his science and math classes, and participated in his school's volleyball team to keep his physical health up! He graduated school with Honors, and went to a lovely medical-based university, where he graduated with dual majors, Nursing Science and Biology, and a double minor in Psychology and Education. He worked for two years in a different hospital outside of Seoul, but has, of course, returned to his birthplace to pursue a career here. He's recently reconnected with old friends, and has made new friends as well! He's currently living in an apartment with his younger brother, who's chosen to live with him for various reasons. IGN(In Game Name): Zoey159 What Language are you applying for?: German How did your character learn the language? (100+ Characters): Blaire was born and raised in Mittenwald, Germany, a lovely little mountain town. Blaire was, obviously, born to their two parents, Archie and Erika, both of whom were also born and raised in Germany. As a baby, Blaire was... Very talkative. They would constantly babble, doing what babies do, of course. When they were roughly a year old, they started to talk. Just mimicking things their parents would say, blurbled baby words. Though, fairly soon, their first word 'Mama' was said! This word actually ensued an argument between their parents, but that's another story. Their mother, who was on leave from her work at the time, took it upon herself to teach Blaire how to speak. A bit more than the average parent, one could argue. It was just simple things at first, a word here or there that Blaire would repeat. And by the time their second birthday was nearing, they could say a variety of words. Boy, did Blaire have quite the vocabulary! After turning two, their mother switched to other forms of learning. Most notably being flashcards, and fun little games for the two to play. The flashcards used slowly grew more difficult, and as did their games! Their favorite were a sort of Pictionary game, where their mother would draw something, and Blaire had to state what it was. Quite fun! While it took a lot of hard work, Blaire was a good learner, and even quite relentless. Despite this, they did struggle with some things. Certain mashes of vowel sounds, and umlauts were big struggle points. However, Blaire didn't give up! They kept trying, and managed to master these struggles. By the age of three and a half, Blaire had their sentences down. And by four, they could read their parents short storybooks! There are, of course, words Blaire still doesn't know, as with most people. That being said, Blaire is still constantly learning. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: Blaire is, well, German! Having this language to roleplay with would add a whole new level of depth to their character. It would bring new opportunities to my character, whether that be jobs, or even just friendships. It would also just make roleplaying as them easier, as it is a part of their character.
