IGN(In Game Name): EpikAcea What Language are you applying for?: Spanish How did your character learn the language? (100+ Characters): As soon as Dren entered high school he started learning Spanish. He had a friend he met before he started high school who's native language was Spanish who had offered to help teach him the language as well as one of his favorite teachers, who also knew Spanish well, had offered to help him learn when he could. His teacher would give him little assignments and study sheets to work on each week, and his friend who he would hang out with after school would help him learn proper enunciations and inflection . He would use different apps like Duolingo and would speak the language as often as he could in order to retain it and get better faster. He struggled at first to get down simple basics and would barely catch one word when listening to his friend and his family, or his friend and teacher have conversations. It took about a year for him to finally be able to hold a simple conversation and follow along relatively well when engaged in a larger group conversation. He worked hard and would listen to audio books when he had free time, or use writing books to also help him with learning the language. By the end of his school years, he was more fluent in Spanish, but still made little mistakes in the way he spoke or his enunciations on certain words. He began working twice as hard when he'd found out his friend had to move away once they graduated, and he and his friend swore that they'd never lose touch and true to their words they didn't. About 2 years later though, his friend suffered a tragic accident which had left him in a coma since. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: Speaking Spanish holds an important, and special part of himself, much like his mother language of Albanian, since it is the language of his best friend and in being able to speak it, he can feel himself closer to him in a way he knows he will never have again. It brings him pain but also a semblance of peace when he can converse in the language his best friend had spent years helping him learn to speak.

Language Application Format IGN(In Game Name): EpikAcea What Language are you applying for?: Albanian How did your character learn the language? (100+ Characters): Dren Kreshnik was born and raised in Tirana, Albania where he grew up speaking the native Albanian language from the moment he could start speaking. His mother started teaching him at an early age to speak and understand Albanian. She would sit down with him and his younger sister, once she was old enough, and sound out words with them. She'd point out different objects or people and sound out the words, repeating them multiple times for the repetition and to help them stick. This went on for a couple more years before he started school, where he began learning to speak his native language at a much faster pace. When he'd started schooling, he was already very fluent in the basics and could hold a conversation relatively well for a young child and follow along. He studied with flashcards and spelling sheets, by reading many different books and learning proper pronunciation. He worked hard all throughout his beginning years and was able to converse fluently in Albanian when he made it to his early teen years. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: Speaking and knowing Albanian is a huge part of who Dren is as he very much loves his culture and it gives him a strong connection to where he comes from as well as his family that he left when he originally moved away from home. He speaks his native language mainly because its his natural language that he defaults to when he's genuinely upset or spooked. Remember to use proper grammar to the best of your ability, you may also only apply for languages that exist in real life.

Adult Application IGN: Catori_Rits RP Name: Dren Ermir Kreshnik Age: 29 Character backstory and description (over 200 words): Dren is a 6'0 Albanian male with a large scar over his left shoulder blade, and a scar from a gunshot wound on his right chest. He would smell of sandalwood and sage, mixed with a Dior 'Homme' cologne. He has a toned, muscular build with blue eyes, and dark hair. Dren was born in Tirana, Albania, where he grew up with his older brother and younger sister. He had a simple life, being the middle child he didn't have the expectations placed on him like his older brother did, nor were eyes on him for being the baby of the family like his younger sister. Dren always excelled at every challenge he went through growing up. He got the best grades, and was the most athletic. When Dren was 14 his older brother was sent off to go study abroad, leaving him to look after his sister while their parents worked. There was an incident one day where him and his sister got severely hurt in a rockslide accident. His sister had multiple fractured ribs, a broken ankle and a bad concussion, while he ended up with a broken femur, a deep laceration across his left shoulder blade, which led to a rather large scar, and a serious brain bleed. They both had been hospitalized for a few months afterwards, and Dren wasn't a big fan of hospitals after the whole ordeal. He also took up boxing and wrestling, as a past time in school. He got good quickly and won a few championships throughout his last years in high school. After graduating, Dren immediately became a bouncer at a local club, mostly to help him pay for his way through college. At the age of 25 he graduated with no real standing in any major subjects, deciding to do the Bouncer, Body Guard job full time, taking on being a body guard as an addon to his bouncer job. Three years into the job he sustained a serious gunshot wound to the chest, he ended up being stuck in a coma for two weeks while he healed. After that he left his job as a body guard and went back to being a Bouncer, also taking up a bartending job at the same club. His parents at this time, also began to reach out, asking him to return home for the family business, to help his brother and take a leading job in the office. Dren didn't like the idea of always being in the shadow of his brother, no matter how much he loved him, he was happy living his own life. He spent another year in Albania before he decided he wanted something more with his life, so he decided to pack up and leave, moving to Seoul, Korea for a fresh new start in his life.
