Despit the move and promise for new life, it was anything but, Romeo's father wasn't around, his mother disliked him, and his siblings had all been deviants in their teenage years, causing Romeo to take on a life of crime and gang violence from 16-20 years of age. He'd quickly found Gang activity not being suited for him, unfortunately this game with its risks as within days of abandoning his gangs he was targetted, maimed, and carved with horrible wounds. As they recovered he found himself bitter, returning to a life of violence, lashing out, getting violent, and narrowly avoiding the capture of KPD. As he moved his way through college, he took up a career in medicine and health, determined to become an EMS in his older years and live a more tame life, and for some time he did! He worked as a EMS for some time before taking the choice to step down from his duties for unknown reasons. Upon quitting his job, he moved to Seoul... SEOUL AND IT'S PROBLEMS Life itself wasn't perfect once moving to Seoul, pestered by beggers and weirdos of the street while crammed in a tiny apartment.. But the EMS of the city provided some light in his time of sorrow, quickly making friends with its inhabitants, even if his reasons for coming into the EMS at times was... unconventional. After getting a pent for himself and his family life began to look forward, with Romeo getting a job as a bartender and finally leading a relatively peaceful life despite the dangers of Seoul. He even found love, Armani De Luca, he thought life was perfect and at first it was. Though facing a mild rivalry with his brother Hyun for Armani, things were looking up and Romeo was looking forward to their future. Until he had found out Armani had cheated on him, despite the lack of intamacy of the affair Romeo was devastated, enraged and heartbroken, he relapsed back to square one... A push-over in most terms and a bit of a people pleaser, publicly he prefers to remain away from danger, preferring to solve his disputes with talking it out rather than getting physical. He's empathetic and passionate, seeming very fatherly towards his own and his family's children, always having hot meals to feed anyone who many be struggling for a meal. With this, he can be seen as.. Odd sometimes, having mild switches is mood or personality at times or straight-up becoming unlike himself. No one has discovered the cause for this and try to keep Romeo at an arms distance if they've not fully befriended him, seeming him as unstable despite his cheery reputation. A side many don't see is how dangerous protective he is, thinking irrationally when his children are in danger or when he is in danger. He can be hard to persuade and very agitative in this state, yelling and attacking when feeling provoked. Many believe this sudden switch was caused from a childhood trauma, others believing its for a brain injury. He's since refused treatment and often acts like it never happened. ``Flaws`` BRAIN DAMAGE [Untreated] Not much is recorded about this, he refuses treatment though its very apparent some sort of injury does inhibit his everyday life. -Unable to walk straight for long periods of time. -Forgetfulness -Dizzy Spells -Double Vision -Seizures [rare] SCOPOPHOBIA [Untreated] Romeo shows a strong fear of being stared at that is apparent in very slow stages. [Unease, nervousness, skittishness, questioning, agitation, aggression]. While he's never attacked someone for staring yet, it's apparent the action activates some form of fight or flight response, this is assumed to be the result of trauma. -Aggression over long periods. -Inability to hold eye contact. -Activates some sort of survival instinct. SMOKING [somewhat treated] Romeo smokes, to put it simply, while he masks the scent with Hibiscus and other floral scents, packs are often found on his belongings. -Bros lungs are begging for mercy. -Smells sometimes. -Bad health overall ALCOHOLISM [treated] Romeo used to be a chronic drinker in his early and mid twenties, this had since been treating but the damage has been done. PTSD [Untreated} Life was horrible to Romeo, it maimed him for life and he suffers it effects, he lashes out, kicks and bites when in a PTSD episode. He may dissociate for days at a time because of it. Eating Disorder [Untreated] Romeo has always eaten weird things, being homeless most of his life food became less and less of a desire and all that was left to make sure his stomach felt full, even if it meant what he ate wasn't actually food. It's unknown what exactly caused this disorder whether it be self esteem or other issues. ================================================================================================== Extra Information ================================================================================================== Fun Facts -Romeo has vitiligo, coming from a large line of relatives with albinism, piebaldism, and vitiligo. -He dances in his free time, enjoying slow dancing and often invites those he fancies to a dance. -Romeo HATES eye contact, that much is true, but if you get him close to you enough and maybe even to have a little crush, he'll hold that eye contact as a sign of trust. He's done this very rarely, only shown to his own children. -He won't turn his back to people, at least not up close, he'll usually ask people to step back if he needs to turn around. IGN: RomeosDisaster RP NAME: Romeo H. Miyahara AGE: 38 Character backstory and description (over 200 words): Romeo was born is Oslo, Norway in 1984. He was raised in a richer household with a well off family, his father worked as a lawyer, his mother running a large chain of hotels in the city when new opprtunities brough them all the way to Seoul! Specifically career opportunities with a pay-raise, and while this was promised this also came with many fights. With this pay raise, they worked longer hour, it create tension and distrust in the family, leading to many fights between Romeo's mother and father and many cheating allegations. Wanting to escape the fights Romeon fled his home at 16 with very little knowledge of Seoul's spoken language [Korean]. This of course, led to a big dialect issue in school as Romeo continued his education up into college where he decided to go into Science and Biology, intending to study paleontology when he grew older. Though he did not get this role, he stuck to waitering/fast food/retail, and all those easier jobs that god money on the table and food in the mouths of himself and his child. He had a daughter at around 24, resulting in a one-night-stand he doesn't enjoy speaking about. He raised his child alone by choice, deciding that love could of course... Wait another day. And he did a good job, raising her with manners and to respect those around her. Romeo himself remained to himself, though seen as generally friendly and very fatherly to most, especially young homeless child or otherwise kids coming fro a bad background. He can be described as "Poorly functioning, but an acceptable father". In his older years he strives to making a better life for himself and his daughter, intending on getting a better job to support himself and his child(ren) in the best way possible. Right now he wishes to acquire a bigger house and a stable career, he seems to have a special eye for one of the SPD. As for himself as a person/character, Romeo is middle aged, tall, and disheveled older man. He has washed out red hair with greyer streaks throughout that reaches about his shoulders. He's very- messy in terms of looks, often having wrinkled and unkept clothing with a button or two missing, or torn seams near the wrists. He's not very muscley, being more of a ectomorph body-type with very little strength to occompany that. Despite this, he has a very friendly and approachable aura with a gentle smile always on his face and wrinkles creasing the edges of his eyes. He's very careful, though not very thoughtful he is considerate of those around him, especially those he deems friends. He enjoys making others smile, or at least moderately pleased by what he does for them. Many consider him a 'people pleaser' though its clear he takes great offence to the title. He can be one to hold grudges...

Romeo Miyahara, the funky man that looks way older than he actually is. Originally this was his design for SRP but I decided to just use the same design for SLRP because I absolutely love how he looks here, especially the hair. It looks fluffy... Very fluffy. Plus his back tattoos... 10/10 I wanted Romeo to look mostly Androgynous for the most part as I couldn't decide between male or female appearance considering he is trans with no surgery aside from top surgery and going on testosterone. I need to learn how to draw vitiligo better

(100+ Characters): Romeo was born in Norway to a Japanese mother and Norwegian father, so he grew up with the language and learned it. This is his primary language for the most part, he knows it better than anything else even though his mother tried to lean him more towards learning Japanese. This being his primary language makes it difficult for him to communicate given he can't speak english and he struggles learning other languages but he's pretty fluent in it anyways. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: It'd be realistic for Romeo to know given where he comes from and his backstory, it's a pretty unused language and would be just fun in general to have as well as confuse people since its not very common to see in other rpers.

I think it would be fitting for both myself and my character in the roleplay, Romeo has always been more directed towards health and the medical field and I see him applying for it in his older years. Plus I think it would make for some really interesting roleplay. I myself am also studying nursing in school and plan to get a medical degree so it'd be fun to have my character live up to that. [Surgeons] - They are the medical practitioners and they work on treating patience with major injuries that may require surguries to fix. They go through extensive training as they need to work quickly and efficiently. The head surgeon will decide what actions need to be taken place in surgery, what medication to give and how to treat the injury. [Paramedics] - Paramedics specialize in providing emergency care for patience, they are often sent out into the field to treat on site wounds or deliver them to the hospital via Ambulence. In a mass trauma incident they'll work on keeping patience stabilized until they can be transported for the proper treatment. [Psychiatrist] - Psychiatrists diagnose, treat, and help prevent emotional, mental, and behavioural disorders. They ensure the patients safety in everyday life. They are not qualified to treat major injuries and instead can only help fix scrapes, small cuts, and sprains. [Nurses] - They typically help around the hospital in general, they'll assist surgeons when preforming and help take care of patients. Romeo is 6'1" in height, he's lanky and is pretty boney for the most part, he doesn't put too much weight on nor muscle and seems generally unthreatening. He tries to dress nice, wearing formal or extravagent clothes off-duty to ensuring his hair looks clean and well-done on duty. His eyes look somewhat exhausted most of the time but he retains a friendly and welcoming personality when he can. One of his eyes seem to have a blown pupils that never goes away, and he walks with hesitation. In terms of uniqueness, how he behaves and reacts to his surroundings is often seen as odd, while more than capable of preforming his everyday duties, head trauma from a young age has caused some mild brain damage that effects his motor control, thus preventing him from taking the role of a surgeon. Romeo is friendly to co-workers that treat him in the same regard, he's patient and talkative to those he finds pleasant to be around. However off duty he's seen as very nervous and secluded, its not often he'll engage outside of the work-place and prefers to stay locked away in his home working on personal projects such as artwork or drawing. As for a possible future, Romeo had a baby girl at 20 years old who is now 14, his main goal is to make sure she lives a good life and is set for succession. He's not all that focused on personal/love life for the most part and sees it more as 'welcome possibility' though does not actively seek love. He had a.. troubling upbringing as his home often felt quiet, his mother wasn't all that kind to him and with his father around he'd eventually left his own around 16 and finished his schooling by himself. This brought issues and troubles of course, that being a lnaguage barrier he was still learning thus causing him to have some mild dilect issues. But in time he did graduate, moving on to college where one mistake after another, he was presented with a beautiful baby girl who he loved dearly. He completed college with a PhD and moved on to try and get a medical degree as well as some experience by working as a school Nurse part time while continuing his schooling.
