(100+ Characters): Merliah Nicchi was born in the picturesque coastal town of Amalfi, Italy, to a blend of Italian and Korean heritage. Merliah's upbringing was enriched with a unique cultural amalgamation, shaping her into the vibrant individual she is today. Her father Marino Nicchi, is a Italian, while her mother Soo-Ah Nicchi, is Korean. Her parents wanted to foster this love of both cultures, so her father would speak to her in Italian, while her mother would speak to her in Korean. They began this from the moment she was born, so learning both languages was never too difficult. But as soon as she could read, her parents would place sticky notes on household items, in both languages. When she started going to school, all her classes were in Italian, so her father began to also speak Korean to her at home. This was she could get equal opportunity to learn and grow in each language. Since moving to Himera, her father as switched back to Italian, while her mother still speaks Korean. Merliah brought one of her hold Korean textbooks with her to Himera, so she would never lose that talent and communication skill. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: As stated previously, Merliah is half Italian, half Korean. With her backstory in mind, it makes sense that she would be able to speak both languages in game.
