  1. OOC section: IGN: IronicChad Discord: Night_Rider#4185 Time zone: EST Any previous bans/warns? None Describe your current level of activity on the server: N/A; however, I’m pretty active on my PC throughout the week. Do you have access to a microphone? Yes Do you have any previous experience with police work? Though it didn't last long, I used to be a patrol officer for Seoul during first launch, and I’ll take this opportunity to uptake this role again. I'm aware of some of the attributes that a police officer's upholds, as well as frisking, protocols, etc. Do you have any experience with CombatRP? As someone who’s played SRP for years, I’ve encountered countless situations that involved CombatRP from minor assault permissions to Kill permissions. I've played SeoulRP in the past and was used to the different rules that regarded it then, I'm confident that I would adjust accordingly to the current set of rules and will abide by them. What motivates you to apply for SPD? On the contrary to being primarily is Gang Roleplayer, I want to try something new and sophisticated. He had the same motive as why I became an SPD officer in the past. Trying out different roleplay factions allows me to grasp the server better and how it operates as a whole. I want to enhance my roleplay capabilities and belong in the community. Transiting from CrimeRP to CopRP isn't always a welcome change of pace, although I can do well in this faction despite it. There's always room for improvement. IC information: Character name: Aizen Katayama Character age: 27 Nationality: Japanese Preferred pronouns: He/Him What motivates your character to join the force? Aizen always had a solid motive to be part of law enforcement. During college, he’s taken criminology and law, which drove me further to get where he is now to make this application. Aizen grew up in this small town and wants to give back to the community to make it a safe environment for all. In his testimony, Aizen’s been dragged by a random man when he was only in 7th grade, and the officers came and saved him from the oppressor. Since then, Aizen has looked up to cops ever since. Hence, developing himself in the process and getting where he’s at now. Is your character familiar with self-defense? He's heavily into martial arts, so he applies this into his defensive combat style. His moves usually go in for quick submissions, which can aid him in arrests. The sophisticated combat comes mainly from Judo and Jujitsu. [Example: Someone is head locking him from behind, he will shoulder throw person on the floor, and pin them to place hand cuffs.] How well does your character work with others? Aizen tends to be well team-oriented, so him being in a group will be precise in team coordination and communication. He's also been involved in medical situations, and observed many times of the EMT's, which gives him adequate knowledge of simplistic care. This gives him flexibility to not only work with his own comrades, but other factions as well that are first-responder’s related. Is your character independent or a team player? Aizen may be articulated; however, he is more efficient in working with a team. He likes to know his people personally, allowing him to work for the Seoul Police Department with more ethics. Aizen values virtues of ethics, such as honesty and integrity, which complements the role of an officer. What makes your character unique? Aizen is a unique character, and that is mainly due to his virtues. As mentioned before, Aizen is an advocate for ethics. He works not only with diligence but with integrity. Aizen cares about his well-being; however, it does not stop him from jumping in front of a train to save his comrades. Aizen works well under pressure, which allows him to use tactical skills in mists of situations. Backstory [100+ words] Aizen Katayama was born in Seoul and raised by Japanese parents. Aizen was a curious young boy and was sometimes under different influences. Aizen was affiliated with a cult in the school because he wanted to fit in. His brother Myagi didn't get along very well with Aizen, due to Aizen being a heavy troublemaker. This led him to get in bad altercations at an early age; however, surprisingly not get a criminal record. However, one day, there was beef between the other peers, and Aizen got involved with them physically. He got beaten up harshly and was taken to the hospital. Aizen, soon after leaving the hospital, went back to school. He told the members of his cult that he was leaving. However, that didn't go as lightly as he had planned it. After school, a tall man came up to him and grabbed Aizen belligerently. Luckily, there were cops in the area when he screamed for help and was quickly rescued. Ever since Aizen has admired cops as heroes and wanted to be part of them. After graduating high school, he proceeded to college, learning law and criminology, while his brother Miyagi enlisted in the Korean military. Level of education [Associates, Bachelors, Masters, etc.] Aizen Katayama finished college with a minor in law and a major in criminology. Even though criminology isn’t needed to become a police officer, Aizen believes among the various contributions of criminal psychology to society is its contribution to the understanding, control, and reduction of crime. Policies and initiatives can be developed and implemented to reduce crime by studying crime and analyzing its causes to create and implement policies and initiatives. Scenarios: If charged by an armed delinquent, how should you react? Although for Aizen this is an unfortunate situation, Aizen will do what he can to prevent anything more violent happening, such as deescalating the situation with words. If at a distance, he will call for backup Aizen is not a big fan of using lethal weapons, which is why he’d mainly carry around a taser, which would submit offenders, without any significant damage. After tasing the individual, he would make sure of his surroundings, in case it’s a trap of some sort, if not, he’d proceed in cuffing the individual and escort them to the SPD. While you are at the station, another officer sends out a distress signal. What do you do? This is circumstantial, depending on the protocols that are set for SPD to abide by. In a common sense scenario, Aizen will instinctively arrive at the location where the distress signal was performed. A distress signal usually involves something drastic, such as being surrounded with weapons, or any life-endangering moment, so Aizen will have the Glock out, ready to initiate combat., and make sure the other officers are good and ready. You are surrounded by several armed individuals; how do you react? This is a situation that’s very hard to deal with. If given the circumstance if Aizen is by himself and can’t run away, he will do what he can do stall for as long as possible. If stalling not beginning to work, he will neutralize as much as he can, so that backup has less to deal with, though unfortunately, will most likely be Aizen’s demise without a quick escort the hospital. This is also a complimentary question, because this shows that Aizen is much more efficient in team-oriented work, although will use force is absolutely necessary. You believe a higher up officer is abusing their power, what do you do? There is no doubt that misconduct and abuse of power are serious offenses that ought to be punished with removal from office, or other severe sanctions, according to the severity of the actions. Is Aizen’s shoes, he would leave documentations about the tyrannical behavior to the highest authority possible. Even though Aizen does believe a chin in command, he doesn’t believe anyone is better than someone else. Justice prevails in all factions.
  2. IGN Ironic_Chad Language you want Italian and Russian How does your character know these languages? Aizen Katayama was born in an Italian family in Sicily, Italy. Sicily is known to be beautiful, considering the fact many tourists would come to visit there. Unfortunately, in Aizen's case, he was born in the more poverty side of Sicily. Regardless of being in a low-income lifestyle, he always made the most out of it. Aizen strived to better himself every day, to prove to his family that he will change their lives for the better. Due to this ambition, he has been heavily inclined academically, and he obtained outstanding literature and comprehensive abilities in the Italian language. Aizen took many interests in history, especially ancient Roman history. Aizen would realize the number of places Rome has conquered during its time, and he became more interested in the other cultures that were either lost or dwindled from that time. Taking into account this, Aizen decided to attend a world history class for the next semester of school. The teacher was a kind old man by the name of Igor. Igor was originally from Russia and move down to Italy with the other half of his family. Aizen got along with Igor and was intrigued by his culture and stories. Igor will tend to blurt out some things in Russian if classmates get disruptive, and Aizen sort of mimicked him. One day, Aizen asked the old gentleman of wanting to learn a bit of Russian, which the old man excitingly accepted the request. After school, Igor would tutor Aizen a bit of the basic of Russian, and coming to his surprise, Italian and Russian and similar alphabetic structure, which enabled Aizen into learning a bit more fluidly, however, like learning any language, came with its own struggles. Soon after the semester passed, Aizen had the basics of Russian down, but he wanted to challenge himself and take it a step further. Aizen wanted to move to Russia for a little bit to attend school, and be surrounded by fluent speakers, however, it wasn't that simple. As previously mentioned, Aizen was raised in a poverty-level family, so financing something like that was near impossible. Knowing this, he went to talk to Igor about scholarships or some type of foreign exchange program. Quickly, Igor snapped his fingers and showed Aizen on the computer of the foreign exchange program in Sochi Russia. He mentioned that there were plenty of Italian scholars that went there to finish their masters. This idea excited Aizen, and soon after he went to his family to ask permission to go. Although hesitant of the idea, his family knew Igor very well and took his word for it that this will be a great opportunity for Aizen. Igor was more than willing to finance the schooling for him, which helped his family a ton. During the beginning of summer, Aizen spent his time in Russia, getting used to the area he was residing at, and conversing as he went all over. He'd start developing not only social skills but also getting fluency in the language. Soon after summer ended, Aizen went to this wonderful school in a nice part of Sochi. However, looks can be deceiving, a lot of the students noticed Aizen's lack of compression of Russian, not to mention his heavily deep Italian accent. They made fun of him for it. . . This heavily discouraged Aizen to continue his education, however, he came across this guy named Dustin. Dustin was incredibly nice, however, was also a big troublemaker. Dustin and Aizen talked, and they soon started becoming best friends. Dustin was skilled at martial arts, which intrigued Aizen into learning a bit more about it. Dustin took jujitsu in this small dojo and noticed Aizen was being made fun of at the time, so he offered to take a couple of classes with him. Aizen did not hesitate and was heavily excited to learn something sophisticated. Aizen and Dustin continued to attend this dojo all the way up to his late high school years, and by this time Aizen was intermittent skill-wise at the martial art, but also became a lot more confident in himself. At this point, Aizen would be fluent in Russian, while also developing a bit of the actual accent, however, his Italian accent would still be more prominent. Dustin one day started getting in trouble with the law, and one day ran up to Aizen and talked to him about leaving the country. Dustin desperately needed Aizen's help to escape the border and needed the money to do it. Aizen, although extremely hesitant, agreed into assisting him to escape. Dustin told Aizen to meet up at a place, around midnight, to which Aizen went. A car was parked, and Dustin whispered him over and told him to help him jump this wall, which Aizen assisted him in getting him over. Aizen waiting for Dustin, noticed a sign that says this was a bank. Aizen's eyes contrasted noticing what he was doing. Dustin then threw a couple of large duffel bags and jumped over the wall. He'd enter the car that Aizen was in and screamed ''Come on let's go!''. Aizen was in extreme panic, hearing the alarm ring. He'd drive off rather fast, and Aizen felt betrayed by Dustin, by putting him in danger. They came to a point on a large bridge that slightly came towards the border of Korea and Russia. However, the cops ended up blocking the bridge, in which Aizen panicked and ended up ramming into the side of the bridge. Quickly Dustin got out and jumped off the bridge, which Aizen saw the cops coming, knowing that if he complied, he would be dead either way. Aizen as well, jumped off the bridge, closing his eyes and accepting fate. After falling through the water, everything went dark, as it were to see that Aizen has died, but that was far from the truth. . . Aizen opened his eyes and noticed he was lying in a hospital bed. The men and women surrounding him were speaking a language he's never heard of. He'd start having a panic attack; however, he was so securely strapped on the bed, he didn't move. Aizen would start yelling in Russian, but then one of the doctors calmly as well spoke in broken Russian, telling him ''It's ok''. After some time, a translator came into the room, talking to Aizen about what happened. Aizen refused to talk about it, as it would give him away as a criminal, so he'd give hardly any context, other than crashing on the side of the bridge. The translator was extremely nice to him, even offering him a place in Seoul. Seoul was extremely inexpensive, and he could easily finish his school, however, Aizen knew nothing about Korea, not to mention even speaking it. The translator happened to be a teacher at Seoul high and assisted Aizen throughout the education system. Struggling his last year in high school, Aizen took his time after graduating to become more fluent in the Korean language, and eventually a few years passed with the guide of his translator, he became fluent in the language. Aizen, after the tragic event that happened with his ''friend,'' decided to pursue criminal justice and law, which now gave him a role in the SPD. Aizen will now start his new journey as a cadet, learning along the way in Korea and helping out the community that took him in a bad place.
  3. IGN: II_Ironics_II Discord: Night_Rider#4185 Why do you want to join the police force? The reasoning for my ambition of joining is to enhance the roleplay experience, not only for myself but for others. I have never done something like this before, so I figured it would be an enjoyable learning curve. I also want to see how far this field of roleplay will come and hope to be part of a beginning foundation to the server. As previously mentioned, my main motive is to not only enhance the overall server experience but also make possible friends along the way. This will also give me more insight on the POV for the officers, rather than being biased. This leaves doors for more opportunities to interreact not only in just criminals, but also aiding others. What can you bring to the police force? My attributes can aid the police department in missions and overall patrol. I tend to be a people person, so I get along quickly with people. I have been in CombatRP for a long while now, so I'm familiar with the types of scenarios that usually play out with citizens vs. cops. I put ethics into the things I do, such as integrity and accountability, which I think is something many people lack when it comes to the things they do as a whole. I'm willing to learn and adapt to new rules and abide by them. Do you have any experience in this field? Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, I do not. However, I think it would be a great opportunity to apply now so that I can get use to the concept while it's fresh. Do you have a microphone? Yes Do you know that your rank can be taken off you at any moment? Yes, I am aware, and will respect this rule. Why should you accept you over the other applicants?: As I stated, I believe the ethics and values I put in as a person can make the overall experience more enjoyable for other role-players, this would include the oppressors in the roleplay. I play fair, so I think it would be apricated amongst the server. IC Section: Characters name: Aizen Katayama Age 28 Why do you want to be apart of the force?: I always had strong motive to being part of the law enforcement.
