This would be more disastrous than it sounds. For one, we'd have to pay for their plugins which would not work as our plugins are coded together and one wouldn't work without the other, and we'd be paying anyway. Thats the main reason, second reason would be how their ideas with how they want their plugins to work don't match with our ideas. And lastly, no offense to their developers, they have amazing work, but we are SUPER big on TPS and server stability with high player counts and their plugins lower the servers tick rate by a good amount and thats mainly why their server is super laggy.
And to note our plugins ARE finished, its just that since we are a passion project our developer changes more often than we'd like and the new dev is usually left to pick up new code and unfinished code, this sometimes can cause issues especially since some of our previous devs aren't as experienced as our current one, this means that our current dev has to do a lot more work to fix bugs that the previous developer might have left.
We were ready for release, all of the basic plugins we had were finished just needed to adjust the configs and set up housing regions, but obviously during the playtest after we set housing regions we found bugs with the plugin and then later found game breaking bugs in other plugins. This is because of past work from other devs. We don't need a new housing plugin, we just need to fix the current bugs that came up randomly.
The plugins were put in we just found last minute bugs when we did put them in and we weren't able to actually let you test them, since because of those bugs. We have all the plugins needed for a basic release, and some more, we just have to fix these bugs first. The code is already there and set up just some bug fixing. We just gave a month estimate to give the dev time to fix these bugs and make the plugins better in general so we don't find issues like this down the road.
(Our dev is more than capable of creating quality plugins that wont lag the server, have more complexity than other roleplay servers you've played, and work with our, and our communities vision of what a fun RP server is like, just give him some time to perfect this release for you. We would love to release the server just as much as you'd want to play it, but we won't release a buggy mess that you'll end up quitting in a week. First impressions are everything. We're here for the long haul, we wont abandon this project after the 3+ years we've been working on it)
