Describe your current level of activity on the server:
I have no activity on the server yet as it has not been released, but I have been carefully studying the rules and the overall concepts of the server! Upon release, I expect to have consistent daily activity.
Do you have access to a microphone?
Yes, and I am comfortable to voice call too! But this might change depending on the time for me and/or the circumstances.
Do you have any previous experience with police work?
I sadly do not have any experience, but I know many concepts tying into police work from other roleplay servers and I also CrimeRP frequently which gives me a better handle on the rules and how it works, giving me an insight into both fields. I know multiple charges, I know their sentences, and I know how to properly take control of a situation. I am also aware on the basic procedures for an arrest, detainment or raid. I also know how to operate a gun plug-in and arrest plug-ins.
Do you have any experience with CombatRP?
Yes, I CombatRP very frequently, well versed in P2L Detail Combat and also just roll based combat. You can shoot me a DM if needed to see my P2L examples! CombatRP heavily appeals to me due to the countless creative possibilities it can bring up and I find using the environment as very useful tool to produce engaging roleplay. I also know how to play it like a chess match or a turn based MMO match, skilled in both types.
What motivates you to apply for HPD?
PoliceRP has been an appealing faction to me in many servers, the total grip you can hold over every situation and the new roleplays that can arise with the circumstances your characters will be put through, life or death. HimeraRP is much more aggresive than other servers, which makes me think that policing the streets of this island will be a welcome challenge. I also just need a change of pace, CrimeRP communities can be extremely toxic and I don't want to do the same type of roleplays everywhere.

What motivates your character to join the force?
Malcolm has always been.. a runt. Bullied, shoved, beaten, a beacon of light shrouded by the criminal underworld- the same underworld that took his parents. It was never a thought present in his mind- he didn't always actively want to be an officer. His utter insignificance allowed him to do barely anything about the sick people roaming the streets of this island, something he wanted to change oh so desperately, even if it may be with bone-jarring force. He needed to make his mark, clean the stains. He wants to make a change, be significant.
Is your character familiar with self-defense?
Malcolm developed a rough combat style through his years in London academics; just something to still keep him breathing and not beaten to death. Unorganized blows, clashing against bones with ignored, unkept pressure. He advanced through the years, maintaining some form of technique in his combat. His strikes were regulated with each opponent, skilfully neutralizing any situation so it doesn't go to the point of permanent damage. He was always a man of peace; never the first to pounce, but if he was forced to, he WILL strike back with force, tenfold. He is also extremely skilled in range combat and combat with firearms, finding it the superior option for self-preservation and overall law-enforcement.
How well does your character work with others?
Malcolm has trouble cooperating with completely new assistance because of the pure distrust fostered in his early years, but once bonds are made, he seems to gel well with anybody. The people he trusts the most, the ones he would die for, are his siblings. The Delgados.
Is your character independent or a team player?
Malcolm's upbringing brought him multiple insecurities from repetitive bullying beating down on him like a jarring rainfall, the things he took pride in he held very close. He held onto situations, trying to prove himself to a phantom audience which inspected each and every one of his movements. But death is an extremely sensitive topic for Malcolm; if he sees any lives at risk all sense of pride dwindles and backup is called.
What makes your character unique?
Malcolm stood at a height of 6'4, his build rigid. A fresh English accent rolled off each one of his words, the smell of tainted mouthwash following them. A fresh scent of stone followed his steps.
Malcolm's uniqueness is presented in his overwhelming phantom audience, pushing him the best of his abilities to strive and to prove himself. This can result in him failing in some situations to not let his pride falter but reach great success in others.
Backstory [100+ words]
LONDON, EARLY YEARS.
Malcolm Delgado, a timid boy growing up in the bustling Delgado household. Zero financial difficulties, a perfectly healthy home life. The issues started rising at the age of 12 at school, constant bullying jarring his entire mental state. His intoxicating pride never let any of it seep out into his behaviour, he wouldn't dare. He needed to be great- he needed to be great like his siblings and his parents- he couldn't let words get to him. But they did. He struggled with bullying for the next few years, a tainted smile crooking up to hide it all.
AGE 14.
An average Sunday evening. The Delgado family was out at a restaurant, Lloyd and Cedric cracking corny jokes the entire meal while Malcolm tried to avoid the thought of going to school the following morning. Doubt planted it's roots in Malcolm's stomach as the group exited the restaurant, cutting through a dingy alley.
2 looming figures- shrouded in abyssal char with glocks clutched tight in their rotten grips. Words boomed from their chambers, spitting pure wrath. The kids rushed back, utter fear liquidating with sheer panic etching into their features. A nearby grocery store was their shelter. A small window- a window which showed them a glimpse of the downfall of their life- displayed their parents being gunned down, dropping to the floor. They were dead. The siblings' thoughts came to an icy, abrupt halt. Reality seemed to slow down as they tried to process the gruesome ordeal unfolding before their very eyes, their beloved parents slowly losing consciousness and life while they did nothing- they could do nothing.
AGE 18
Death is jarring. It shakes the very core of your conscience, something the Delgado siblings were all too sickeningly familiar with. The effects of their parent's passing haunted them like a churning ghoul, seeping into every crack of their life, infecting every passing moment that crossed their path. Severe PTSD loomed in their thoughts, clinging onto every minute task they did. Money was hard to make- they had nothing to support them in their educatory years where they studied criminal justice.
AGE 23.
The last few years had been.. bad. They scrapped at the streets, couch hopping from relative to relative until they were old enough to get some money working at the local Walmart. A shitty little apartment they bought, their humble abode. Crime was still extremely prevalent in London, regular shootouts and muggings. The Delgados needed a break, they needed it bad. Their pleading eyes focused on a distant horizon- Himera. Bags were packed and they pooled together any money they had to buy a plane ticket there. Any little glimpse or ray of hope that beat down on their malnourished backs was enough to drive them anywhere. Terrible thinking on their part!
AGE 28.
The past 5 years at Himera Island. They managed to start anew, joy finally finding it's way into their paths. The police department allured to them- something to finally louden their voice, something that could make their words and actions known to the world, something that could give them hope of a better world. The necessary building blocks were already rigid in place- all they had to do was take the leap now. Malcolm strolled into the complex with resounding steps, something that changed the entire course of his life.
Level of education [Associates, Bachelors, Masters, etc.]
Malcolm spent his college years inspecting the field of criminal justice, he has a masters in the subject.
Scenarios:
If charged by an armed delinquent, how should you react?
Malcolm's hand would shoot to his taser, calculated eyes locking onto the upper-chest of the attacker. A jarring shot that vibrated through his cells, he tazed the victim in their tracks. If this wasn't an option and/or this fails, he would quickly sprint to a farther area which was hard to reach where he would call backup to neutralize the attacker. During the communication, a shot would be sent to the person's chest to disable any lethal force and a shot to their arm in use, (both will be shot if the person is holding the weapon with both hands). If this technique fails, Malcolm would wait for backup and charge the attacker with them, attempting to tase them once more and disarming them to take them to the station. They would be thrown in jail under charges of attempted assault with a weapon on a government official and endangering the public, and a raid will be conducted on their residence.
While you are at the station, another officer sends out a distress signal. What do you do?
A crazed frenzy, Malcolm would gather his equipment and travel to the destination of the signal. Full protection would be worn with a glock positioned in his grip. He would take slow steps toward the area, radioing for paramedics to treat the injured officer. A search would be ran in the area, looking for any individual's with masks and/or weapons, if found they will be detained for suspicious of assault (with a weapon?) on a government official. All CCTV would be checked in the area and beyond, looking for any clips of them masking up. If proper evidence is found, the individual would be guilty and a raid will be conducted on their residence.
You are surrounded by several armed individuals; how do you react?
Malcolm's mind clouded in a rush of pure adrenaline and survival, a sensory overload betraying his best abilities. His eyes reddened, his fingers desperately pressing onto the distress button. If this failed, he would attempt to charge out by knocking one of them down and relocate to a safer distance, pulling his glock out and immediately shooting the armed individual's in their grips and chests to neutralize them. Backup will be called, CCTV would be checked for any more charges and they would all be arrested under (attempted) assault with a weapon on a government official if none are found.
You believe a higher up officer is abusing their power, what do you do?
Malcolm would try to gather every little piece of evidence to support his argument to foil the corrupt procedure, if enough was found it would immediately be presented to higher-ups and punishments would be set in order. Even if evidence is not found, the commissioner would be notified as a warning.
