  1. OOC INFORMATION: IGN: Ant208080 Age: 17 Timezone: EST If you have discord, what is your tag? 4ever_luvluna Do you have a working microphone? I do have a working mic Any bans/warnings? N/A List any past/current applications. At this moment in time I do not have any other applications but I am going to make more What is your motivation for joining EMS? I have always been into role-play, even when it's something new like EMS. Even though I have role-played as a hospital nurse in a smaller server and it didn't last long, it was an enjoyable new experience, and it's something that I would love to have more of. When it comes to EMS, our community is usually smaller, allowing you to get to know everyone better. It's a smaller group of people that you can ask for help and lean on if needed, putting you in a position to always be learning new things or just meeting new people and having a fun time. State the role you are applying for [Nurse, Doctor, Surgeon, Psychiatrist] I would like to be a surgeon List all the departments of EMS and what they do. Nurses are sometimes overlooked in the medical field, but they do so much for the healthcare experience. They allow the hospital to run smoothly by gathering information on the patients, monitoring them for any new symptoms, and administering medication when needed. Without them, the workload for other departments would be extremely heavy. Doctors check for diagnosable conditions and help you get the treatment you need for injuries or illnesses. They also address grave issues and provide you with the next steps on how to get treatment, whom to see, and what you should do to get better. They refer you to specialists who can help you further. Surgeons have the ability to perform procedures that others might not be able to, such as opening the patient's body to treat injuries that simple medication cannot reach. They might repair, remove, or replace damaged parts of the body based on the information they receive from doctors or nurses. Psychiatrists are trained professionals who try to understand the patient's mental health. They evaluate the patient and focus on body language and behavior instead of the physical state like other departments. They are still very helpful and guide the patient on how to get treatment. How active are you?How familiar are you with Detail/Medical RP? I am very active, even though sometimes I do get a bit busy during the weekdays. I will always find time to get on and role-play. I am pretty familiar with medical and detailed RP, even though I'm still learning. I'm always ready to learn and get better with my role-play. Do you acknowledge that at any point you can be demoted or removed if given a valid reason? [Ex: Guidelines, Skipping Trainings, etc.) I do understand Signature: Searphine IN-CHARACTER SECTION: PART 1: Character Apprehension: Tell us about your character; how do they look, and what makes them unique? Athena, a 27-year-old, 5’8” blond Greek, always seemed to have a serious and tired face. She took her job very seriously and always tried to move with precision. She’s a go-getter and won’t let anything stand in her way from getting what she wanted. Even with this strong mindset, she was always ready to learn and understand where she was at fault. She made sure to stay out of the way of others and didn't like to speak unless she needed to or was spoken to. She made sure to always respect her higher-ups in many ways, such as speaking in a firm tone, making eye contact, and being ready with anything they needed. She always tried to be ready for anything and aimed to be five steps forward. Explain your character’s outlook on co-workers, personality, and future life. Athena was an introvert since she was young; this was all she wanted. She never tried to make friends and barely talked to others wherever she went. She always tried to find a higher-up to admire and learn from. Even though she might look moody, she was a very respectable person to her coworkers and to others. She hasn't really made any future life plans since she has dedicated her whole life to her work. Seeing all these other people in relationships and having a social life makes her feel like an outcast, but she won't do much to change that. Does this character have a criminal past? Athena has always tried to stay away from anything that could ruin her dreams Background:[Minimum 100 words] Athena is a 27-year-old Greek woman; she was an only child. Her father seemed to always be traveling around for work, leaving Athena alone with her mother, who basically lived at the hospital. Due to that, Athena grew up to be very lonely and was always seen by herself. She always watched her mother and how hard she worked. She always admired that her mother did anything to strive and to be the best, pushing everything and anyone aside to achieve everything that she wanted. And to some point, she pushed Athena away as well, but Athena never stopped admiring her work ethic and looked up to her like a god. But her mother's dedication was also an issue in other aspects, such as their family. At the age of 15, she noticed that her father was never around anymore, and he started to miss important events in her life. But once she noticed, it was too late. At this point, it was only Athena and her mother, which was another way to say that it was only her. With this, she couldn’t help but wonder what really went on and why her father didn’t seem to care anymore. She would ask her mother why he left and where he was, but every time she asked, her mother would lash out and yell at her before leaving her alone for days. Anytime Athena was left alone or given the silent treatment, she would try to find herself. The best way she knew how to find herself and be whole again was in those same cold fluorescent rooms of the hospital with the beeping of the machines and the loud intercom with the gentle old lady calling her name. To the point that she lost count, but she never changed much until the age of 17 came around. She started to study under her mother. Every time she entered a room, she would have this vibrant smile and an aura that could make the hospital look a bit brighter. But every time, without fail, they would comment on it. And they would often say how much she resembled her father, having the same smile and energy as him. Although she didn't understand why, she grew to hate that feeling and hated hearing that phrase. She did everything to stop that comment. Slowly, she started to become like her mother, even though she didn't notice it. As she grew up, she became a smaller version of her, keeping everyone at a distance and not letting a smile cross her face. She always seemed a bit gloomy and tired, speaking with sharp words and never engaging in small talk. At 19, she got serious. She buried herself in her studies, going into private classes for the study of being a neurologist and made it her life goal. At that point, she would lock herself in her room and not come out until she basically knew the procedure step by step, to the point that she could do it with her eyes closed. At the age of 20, Athena became a person who never talked and was always immersed in a book. It was such an issue that she never focused on herself and ignored her body, to the point that she would pass out multiple times in a month. At what she would say is the peak of her studies, since she worked under her mother and was learning so much, her mother was diagnosed with a dangerous brain tumor. After a few months, her mother got laid off and spent all her time at home. Athena witnessed something that no child should have to see, but she saw her mother fall into a pit of hell in a physical and mental way. Her mother would lash out and break things in the house, making holes in the wall, yelling at Athena, not letting her out of her room for things like food. She basically was a prisoner in her own home. But the thing that got to her was that her mother would blame Athena for her father leaving and would blame the brain tumor on her as well. Athena couldn’t do it anymore; she just couldn’t live with her mother. So, at the age of 20, she made a plan to leave. She had studied in one of the most prestigious colleges in Greece for two years while devising her plan. Endlessly working and studying, she would spend countless hours in the library, then head to her small job at a nearby cafe. When she turned 22, she was ready to leave the house. She went to study abroad, transferring to one of the best colleges in America. Working at a pizza shop, she managed to afford a small apartment that she had to share with three other people. She worked hard, ensuring she was at the top wherever she went. She finished her bachelor's in osteopathy, then went on to fulfill three years of her residency in a hospital in America while studying to advance her career. At the age of 26, she finished her last bit of schooling and moved on to working in a private institution where she was barely making enough money to cover rent. Tired of the life she was living, she wanted to find her place. After taking a few weeks to look at where she should move, she decided on Himera.
