What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
My motivation for becoming a teacher is from a desire to inspire and delegate others. As a teacher, I aim help allow students have enjoyment for learning and provide them with the knowledge they are willing to receive and gain. There's something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing the moment when a concept clicks for a student or seeing their growth and development over time. What roleplay experience do you have that could help you as a teacher?:
In my previous experience, I've participated in various situations that needed me to encounter a similar experience. Following along with actual teachers and even other roleplay teachers, they've allowed me to understand how to swiftly move along with a class. I've been able to have an experience where I filled in for a roleplay teacher multiple times and even taught the class my own ideas. I've developed a few skills that could help me during this experience that is needed in future situations, especially in HRP. I've strengthened my improvisation skills which allows me to fix any situation that's gotten out of hand. This allows me to adapt to unexpected situations in the classroom and finding positive solutions to issues or problems.
CHARACTER INFORMATION
What is your character's personality?:
My character's personality is like a mix of being fun, serious when needed, and acting like an adult when it's time. They love to joke around and make things light and enjoyable. But when stuff gets serious, they know how to switch gears and focus. They can be all fun and games, but when it's time to get down to business, they're on it. They're good at finding the right balance between being playful and being responsible.
What does your character look like?:

Walking through the halls of Halcyon Academy, you notice a student bullying/harassing another student. How would you react?:
If I saw a student bullying or harassing another student in the halls of Halcyon Academy, I'd step in right away. I'd approach them calmly but firmly and tell them to stop their behavior immediately. I'd make it clear that bullying is not okay and won't be tolerated here. Depending on the situation, I might offer support to the student being bullied and encourage them to report the incident to SLT or counselor. My main goal would be to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved and to create a supportive and respectful environment for all students.
You see a student using contraband on Halcyon Academy grounds. How would you handle this situation?:
If I caught a student using contraband on the grounds of Halcyon Academy, I'd approach them calmly and discreetly. I'd remind them that such behavior is against the rules and explain the consequences of their actions. Depending on the severity of the situation and the school's policies, I might confiscate the contraband and report the incident to the appropriate school authorities. My aim would be to address the issue swiftly and fairly while also providing support and guidance to the student to help them make better choices in the future.
You see a faculty member disobeying the Halcyon Academy Code of Conduct. What do you do?:
If I witnessed a faculty member disobeying the Halcyon Academy Code of Conduct, I would first assess the situation and gather any necessary evidence. Then, I would address the issue privately and respectfully with the faculty member, expressing my concerns about their behavior and reminding them of the importance of upholding the school's standards. Depending on the severity of the violation, I might suggest that they self-report the incident or, if necessary, I would escalate the matter to the appropriate authorities within the school administration. It's essential to handle such situations with professionalism and discretion while also assuring accountability and obedience to the school's guidelines.
While grading papers during your free period, you notice that one of your students is failing your class. How would you address this situation?:
I would approach the situation with care and concern. First, I would review the student's performance in detail to identify any patterns or areas where they may be struggling. Then, I would reach out to the student to schedule a meeting to discuss their academic progress and any challenges they may be facing. During our meeting, I would express my observations about their performance and offer support and guidance to help them improve. I would encourage open communication and collaboration to develop a plan tailored to their needs, which may include additional resources, extra help sessions, or adjustments to their study habits. By working together and providing ongoing encouragement and assistance, I believe we can help the student overcome their challenges and achieve better outcomes in my class.
A student is acting out of line during your class. They are being disruptive and disrespectful to their peers. How do you handle this?:
If a student is acting out of line, being disruptive, and disrespectful to their peers during my class, I would address the situation promptly and firmly but with empathy. First, I would calmly but assertively intervene to redirect the student's behavior and restore order in the classroom. I might use non-verbal cues, such as making eye contact or using a gesture to signal that their behavior is not acceptable. If the disruption continues, I would address the student directly, using a calm and respectful tone. I would remind them of the class rules and expectations regarding behavior. Depending on the severity of the disruption, I might ask the student to step outside the classroom to discuss the issue further or provide them with a warning about the consequences of their actions.
Write 3-5 /me's of how your character would act throughout the school day. Think about actions they might do while teaching, after class, in the break room, etc:
Teaching:
/me although he may seem strict, he was certainly going with the flow of his students. He'd grab a chalk and begin writing his lesson on the board, adding doodles every so often to gain their attention. He'd notice some of his students were not paying attention. &f"If this may seem boring to you guys, why don't we go over the lesson a bit and anticipate for a game regarding the lesson?"
After class:
/me he'd sit down, allowing his students to leave the classroom and waved to those who waved to him. He'd set aside the previous class' lesson and begin to grade papers during the little freetime he had.
[A student walks in!]
/me he'd notice the student walk in and with a friendly smile and a gesture, he'd ask the student, &f"Hey! I saw your paper, you seem to be having a bit of trouble in the class, is there anything I can do to help you better understand the lesson?"
Break room:
/me walked in slowly and sat on the nearest seat. He'd already been bummed out and just needed a break. He'd make small talk with himself and the other faculty inside the room, making sure they didn't feel intimidated by his presence. He'd sip his coffee he'd brought in earlier and smile as he read through some school newspapers.
