  6. OOC INFORMATION: IGN: Kritiqual Poseter [Alt] Age: 17 Timezone: CST If you have discord, what is your tag? .fvckyou. Do you have a working microphone? Yes. On my phone. Any bans/warnings? No. List any past/current applications. [ACCEPTED] [ONGOING] What is your motivation for joining EMS? While I don't aspire to be a medical student outside the context of HRP, I am eager to explore diverse roleplaying opportunities, expanding my experience to later guide others. My enthusiasm for HRP is genuine! Admittedly, there might be some initial anxiety about delving into the unknown, but I am confident that with time, I'll acquire the necessary expertise to instruct/teach others on the details of this particular type of roleplay(medical). Teaching holds significant impact and importance to me both OOCly and ICly, as evidenced by my outside job of volunteering to teach students, and assuming a medical ICly presents an opportunity for others to utilize my knowledge!! t's noticeable that the details of medical roleplay often go unrecognized, particular the more detailed aspects. In contract to other roleplays that typically involve quick, one time interactions, trying to find the a proficient medical roleplayer can be challenging. What sets HRP apart is its focus on character-driven interactions, where the emphasis is not solely on the medical professional(in this case, the doctor/surgeon), but also on the individual's character. This approach not only contributes to a more immersive experience, but also strengthens character development while still moving away from potential conflicts and issues that may arise. In summary, my motivation stems from my acknowledgment of helping others and my dream to help and teach others physically, mentally, and emotionally. State the role you are applying for [Nurse, Doctor, Surgeon, Psychiatrist] Doctor. List all the departments of EMS and what they do. [SURGEON] Surgeons pursue surgeries with immense detail, making sure to treat the patient with extensive care during their time at the hospital. Surgeons tend to go through a lot of pressure but from all of their training and enormous amounts of stress, it only makes them the best of the best. After the procedure is complete, surgeons are allowed to prescribe medicines and continue seeing the patient to make sure they are taking them correctly and are doing well. [DOCTOR] Doctors are basically surgeons without the surgery part. Doctors tend to injuries that do not require surgeries to complete and may also schedule appointments and prescribe medicines. Doctors can use exams in order to diagnose patients as well as treating them as they should be treated. [NURSE] Nurses are "mini doctors" who complete tasks at hand and watch over patients. Nurses also help alongside surgeons. Nurses can complete exams just like the doctors, but they instead administer medications rather than prescribing them. Nurses treat minor injuries that are not needed to see a doctor. Nurses must stay at the front desk to check patients in and out, as well as making sure the patient's logs are correct. [PSYCHIATRIST] Psychiatrists are those who prescribe medications for mental issues, rather than physical ones. They can not treat physical injuries but are allowed to diagnose the patients. They are allowed to do small injuries, but not as many as the Nurses can. Psychiatrists can diagnose patients with disorders and mental issues. How active are you? How familiar are you with Detail/Medical RP? I have been into roleplaying for years, which has allowed me to gain tons of experience, especially with detailrp, which is very important when being a doctor. Earlier in RP, I had different ways of roleplaying and didn't understand the mechanics or what certain terms meant, and even so I am still learning, but I do have a vast majority of knowledge of the terms. I had already tried roleplaying Hypixel style. My initial "decent" into roleplay involved less exciting scenarios which usually involved school roleplays in which I played the nurse, and the idea of engaging in HRP didn't initially appeal to me (I did not exactly play, but I was a beta tester. I was not initially going to rejoin but this was also because I lost the servers). Upon joining HRP and other roleplays, I gradually familiarized myself with each command, term, and rule, I've reached a point where I can confidently claim a level of experience comparable to those who actually roleplay "professionally". When it comes to detailRP, I've got a lot of hands-on experience. I can type rather fast, so you won't be waiting around for 15 minutes to find out you have a concussion. Yeah, if I don't know a term, I might need to look it up, but that's about the only time it takes me a bit longer to type out what I'm writing. I feel like if I know everything and give it a shot, I can figure out a solid way to do it. I might even tweak things a bit to match my own style and vibe, but I've learned a lot from others, and I'd say detailRP is one of my strongest skills. For activity, I do have school so during the weekdays my activity is slightly different but I'm basically on 24/7 during the weekends since I really don't have anything else to do. During the day, I get on and off but still have around 2-3 hours per play (session?). Mondays through fridays, I'm available from 2:40-12 AM, and weekends, 11 AM-12 AM. I am also applying for jobs in my area IRL, so this could change soon. If it did, I might not be available some days until 9 PM. Do you acknowledge that at any point you can be demoted or removed if given a valid reason? [Ex: Guidelines, Skipping Trainings, etc.) I acknowledge that at any point I can be demoted or removed if given a valid reason. 7. OOC Minecraft IGN: Poseter Discord: .fvckyou. Age: 17 Past warnings/kicks/bans: n/a Time zone: CST List any other accounts and/or roles on the server: Track team (As of now, unsure if this will change) Do you understand that if you are inactive you will be removed from council? I understand that if I am inactive, I will be removed from council. What is your motivation for applying to the Student Council? My motivation for applying to the student council is quite different than most. I began playing Himera Roleplay as a way of avoiding most of my life responsibilities and got wayyy more into it when I began to play the beta. Taking my time out of my day for a beta version isn't something I'd normally do since, well, I'd just have to wait longer for the real reveal. Himera was different, though, it gave me a reason to be interested in Roleplay. In 2022 when I played the beta, I was not really into roleplay. It was quite different, actually, I had been playing with a few friends and didn't really like it at first. The more I played, the more I got online and gathered up my playtime. I'd realized I wanted to really partake in Himera since I couldn't exactly do that anywhere else. I hadn't really gotten that spark that I wanted into other servers since I was never nearly satisfied with my work. Although I put forth a lot of effort, I didn't exactly put forth that effort for myself. I put it forth for the rest of the people I was playing with at the time. I foraged the courage to play more and more and got better interest in Himera. Although I know Himera will be different than the beta version, I know for sure it'll be better. Now I am here, wanting to be apart of the community much more than I had before. I want to become more professional and change the way I look at things especially when it comes to putting a lot of dedication and focus into one singular thing--that being Himera--. I started roleplaying as a way to pass time, now, I am roleplaying to be apart of the community. What are some skills that you have that make you a good fit as a councilor? Any councilor needs leadership skills and I think I lead pretty well. Whether that's the president or vice-president. You need be able to voice yourself and I think practicing with virtual reality really helps that. I am a very calm and relaxed person and I don't hold grudges towards people. I want to help people fix their mistakes rather than criticizing them for it. Someone shouldn't be criticized for a small mistake. People should always receive second chances --unless you do something EXTREMELY bad-- and I think I have good influence to show that to others. I have complete dedication to Himera once it releases and I don't plan on quitting any time soon. Whenever I enjoy something, I enjoy it to it's fullest. I wouldn't exactly say my free time is the greatest, but my punctuality can be great as long as I'm free. I am still in school, but I believe as long as things are planned according to most timezones, then I can be just fine. I think about everyone, not just me. I really pay attention to detail and try to be as inclusive as I can be. IC - Fill this like how your character would fill it out. Name: Gyo Jae (First name Jae) Age: 18 Appearance: Personality: "I am pretty laid back, I don't really get into fights. I try hard in school when I want to and my school pride is beyond what I could've imagined. Some might think I'm hard to approach but I'm real nice once you get to know me. If I had to ask my friend to give me one word to describe me, that'd be enthusiastic. I am a real curious cat so I want to know more about people than you'd think. I like to approach people if it seems they are a little scared to approach me. I may be intimidating to other people, but I am for sure a lot more docile than you think. I am not emotional, I am tough and strong, but I might also be a pushover at times when it comes to people close to me." Why do you want to be on the Student Council? "I wish to be on the Student Council as the President or Vice-President. I am thoroughly able to lead the Council team alongside a peer and I think it's better for me as a person. I don't want to be cocky, but I do think being above everyone to help them find themselves is better for me. I don't try to be a bad influence, but if I can't show that to other people, then I don't think I'm putting forth my best efforts. I try my hardest, but there are some ups and downs I go through too. I want to be on the Student council to help those people who are going through those ups and downs as well since I can relate to them. I think you need a relatable person to be head of the team since it's hard for them to speak for themselves because most of the time they're trying hard to be inclusive. I want to be in the student council to show others that life really isn't difficult as long as you just talk to someone. If you can't talk to the people around you, going to a student council is a great option. If I had to choose to be a regular member of the council, then I'd be fine with it. As long as I am helping others be themselves, I am a great member of the team. I'm enthusiastic and I try to be optimistic about everything even in times where it might not be a good time to do so." What makes you stand out from other applicants? "While I may not stand out physically, my qualities lie in my mental fortitude and my commitment to being a strong peer and leader. What sets me apart from other applicants is my ability to lead with empathy and a genuine dedication to a positive change within the school. In a leadership role, I firmly believe that true strength is derived from understanding, supporting, and connecting with others. My approach is grounded in empathy, allowing me to relate to the diverse perspective and needs of the student body. I strive to create an inclusive environment where every student feels heard, valued, and represented. Challeneges and setbacks are inevitable, but I see them as opportunities for growth. Instead of being pushed back by obstacles, I embrace them as chances to learn and lead. While titles may hold significance, I am motivated by the idea of achieving a leadership role not for the sake of a "pretty title", but for the actual impact and positive change that can be achieved. I lead with compassion and to form the improvement of the lives of my peers. I am confidence my qualities uniquely position me to contribute effectively to the student council." SITUATIONS As you are walking in the hallways of Gavatha Academy, you stumble upon a distressing scene! It seems some girls are bullying a young student about his personality. As a councilor, how would you approach this situation? "First I would approach the scene with a calm attitude, but make sure that my physical appearance seems bigger than the two girls. Rather than joining them, I'll make my presence and intention be known that I am here to help and diffuse the situation. Then, I'll tell the people who are instructing the bullying to stop their behavior immediately. I'll go to the student who is being bullied and offer a reassuring presence that I am here for them. If the situation doesn't seem to deescalate, I will take the student to a more private room to secure their safety. I'll ask more open-ended questions rather than yes or no questions to understand why this situation occurred in the first place. I will not take any sides, being biased in not on my check list. If the situation seems bad enough to where I can't even stop it, I'll involve SLT. I'll then make sure the student, again, feels safe within the new boundaries set." Patrolling through the courtyard, you come face to face with a physical altercation between two boys. They are throwing punches left and right! As a councilor, how would you go about handling this situation? "First, I will approach the scene and make sure I myself is safe before intervening with the altercation. Since it seems I am by myself, I will call for assistance and make sure there are more than one person here to stop the issue. I'll instruct the two students to stop what they are doing or things can get out of hand. If it is needed, a physical separation will take place. I will then inspect for any injuries between the two students after distancing them away from each other so they couldn't go back at it again. Although, I will make sure they do not leave in the time of inspection. I will then make sure I hear both sides with, again, no bias involved. I will report this incident to the SLT if need be and a detention --if STUCO can give detentions-- will be handed to both of them." While conducting routine rounds, you spot students in a secluded area of the schoolyard passing around a joint, emitting a strong odor of marijuana. They appear unaware of your presence, engaging in illicit substance use on school grounds. How do you approach the situation? "Knowing the issue at hand, I will remain calm to avoid them running away at the sight of me. If the situation seems dangerous to myself, I will make sure to ensure my safety beforehand. This could be me calling for back up. Before approaching, I will mentally document the situation and wait for the appropriate moment to take lead. If I see they are not actively using the substance, I will then approach (if I do not see them quit using it, I will wait until I find back up). I will walk up to them and be as respectful as possible to ensure my safety again. I will tell them that what they are doing is against school policy. Rather than being up in their business, I'll ask for less elaborate description of the situation since this is more of a SLT situation. I'll gather all of their names and give detentions out if needed." A fellow council member is misusing their authority, and it is negatively affecting a student. What do you do? "Before I start my decent, I will gather as much information as possible about the misuse of authority. I'll talk to the student and any witnesses about the detail of their misuse. I can't be completely sure if they are misusing their power without any eligible evidence. I will not release any information to anyone outside of the situation to ensure everyone's safety. I will not confront the member before I know my facts are accurate since I don't want to be accusing a fellow student council member of their power trip. Once I figure everything out, I will initiate a private conversation with the member involved. Rather than getting straight to the point, I'll express my concerns before addressing the issue immediately. I will listen to the member so that I can have a good story of what's going on. If mediation is needed, I will involve a thirty party to help find common ground and resolve the issue before it gets out of hand. If the issue has violated the procedures of a student council member, I will address it to the SLT. If it has not, I will offer support for them to put them on the right path. I don't want to remove anyone from the council if it really isn't necessary. I'll help them fix their mistake and advocate for a change." Please create no more than 2 detailed events in which the council can use, if you were to join: SPOTLIGHT EXTRAVAGAVANTHA: A talent show! First, the school needs to prepare for the up-and-coming talent show. A few judges will be chosen. These can be from a diverse of people. There could be one judge for every. . .type of person? Such as student, teacher, team, SLT, and club leader/member. Since the council is organizing this event, it is not a good idea to make them a judge. Open auditions will be a few weeks/days prior to the event. This will help students prepare for their audition. To allow people to know about it, an announcement can be sent out to first promote auditions. The date for the actual talent show can be decided after all the auditions since they may take more than one day. For the actual talent show, a select few of auditions would be chosen. This can be half of the original amount of people who auditions, a third, or even a set amount such as 15. Each student who is chosen for the talent show must come up with a small introduction to show before the audience. This way, they can introduce themselves without any worry. Clubs can also participate in these. Between each show, a game with the audience could take place to make it more engaging. FUTURE LEADERS: Future leaders is basically a club, job, and community rush. This could help students find their skills and abilities all together. This event will be highly interactive and could help those who are confused about what they want to do, a chance at finding their purpose. There will be three "stations". The first station is for clubs. Each club leader and co-leader along with 1 or 2 members can stand in a booth with an activity based on their club. They could even sell things related to their club. For student council, the vice president and president should stand at their booth while the rest patrol and help those who look lost and guide them in the right direction. They could pretend to have a fight going on and have the students see if they can stop it! The second station will be for real jobs. The school can invite the police, doctors, and many others to the rush to allow people to have an idea of what they do. An interactive game or activity can be placed with each job. For police, it could be getting arrested, for the government it could be 'pretending' to be one of the jobs. There are many possibilities. The third station is the community station. This will be for regular people to join in and sell their own things (such as a market I forgot the name of...) or personal shops run by the community to sell their own things. They can even offer internships! This will help ensure everyone is included. Anything else you would like to add? Nope.
  8. OOC Minecraft IGN: Poseter Discord: .fvckyou. Past warnings/kicks/bans: N/A Time zone: CST List any other accounts and/or roles on the server: Track Team (As of now, I'm unsure if this will change,) RP Name: Gyo Jae (Korean, first name Jae) The official name of your club: Theater Club Link to your Discord Server (set it on never expiring): https://discord.gg/jKBwP7BezP What is your motivation to create your club? My motivation was from a long time ago. I have always wanted to run a club, especially a of theater club. Now, I have not been interested in musicals myself that's why I am not incorporating too much of musicals into the theater club. The motivation I have behind creating this club stems from a deep passion for the art of acting and the desire to provide a platform to enhance people's theatrical skills and deepen their love for acting. Theater serves as a powerful medium for expressing stories and using that connection with others and then enriching that skill. While musicals undoubtedly hold their own charm, I believe that an exclusive focus on acting opens up a unique space for individuals who are passionate about their talents. By creating a theater club that does not delve into musicals, it helps widen those who do like acting but are not fond of being educated in that field. I've always wanted to help teach people the importance of using the skills you learn online and putting them forth elsewhere. There is not any specific skill they need to learn, but the idea of it is to create a dream, just like mine. I am not talented enough in real life to have the voice I want to be capable of using, but I have the capability of using it in detail. I didn't create this club specifically for the actors, I created it because I wanted to broaden the selection of talent we have available. Overall, my motivation is to not only help myself, but help enhance those skills for others who wish to be in this field. Why should we select you to become a Club Head, as opposed to other applicants? My aspiration to become an actor is anchored in the realm of virtual rather than reality, I am deeply committed to this future and present community of like-minded people who share the same passion for the art. The idea of creating a space where fellow actors can explore their acting abilities, regardless of the degree of reality, is an exciting endeavor that I am eager to lead. Technology can be a powerful tool when it comes to enhancing the boundary between virtual theater and traditional theater. Nowadays, opting for a more virtual way of learning is much easier to minds and writing is much easier for storytelling and creating that personality of a character you couldn't in real life. As Club Head, I am dedicated to the virtual aspects of our theatrical experiences and creating a diverse environment for the community without leaving anyone out. Additionally, my leadership skills are well-suited to guide the club. I have had plenty of experience will guidance myself so I get the idea of what people want and don't want. One of my strengths lies in assisting others in recognizing their mistakes and shifting them towards the right way. I am confident that these qualities will contribute to the development of a cohesive thriving theater club. What events and activities will you host for your club? There are an astounding amount of things you can get away with as theater club, and working with the school can help expand the pride the students have for the school. IMPROV Improv helps create a more ideal workspace since it needs more imagination and creativity. This will be a club activity and some of the meetings will be practicing improv. This is a fun and engaging way to develop acting skills and further improve your ability to work with others. Most of the time, improv is out of pocket and you can't really expect anything. The key in improv is to expect the unexpected so you can get an idea of what you will then say. As another way of doing improv, we could also do monologues for people to practice. This can be improv or it can be scripted but in the end, those people will go in front of the audience(the club) and perform their own small play. This will help rid of stage fright and help them gain more confidence when in front of people and in the spotlight. CONTEST This could be within the club or as a school. Students can give scripts of a play and they must meet the requirements of the play. A plethora of topics will be given and with these topics, they must create a well-written play. Prizes that will be handed out could be from money to entering the club for free. The requirements would be to have Acts, Scenes, characters, and an overall plot. It also must have instructions for the characters outside of the script. If this was within the club, whoever wrote the best script could have their script done in a play. There will be more events and activities conducted, however, this is all I have at the moment since I do not know what the school has to offer. How would you decorate your club room, as the Club Head? Creating a theater club room involves creating a space that is used for both rehearsals and meetings as well as practices. STAGE The stage area will be dedicated to practicing rehearsals so we can get a general idea of what the actual play will soon look like. It might be on a much larger scale, however, it helps the actors and writers get an idea of what we will be doing in the play. SEATING Seating is a must-have in a meeting room. Rather than chairs around a desk, there'll be open sofas that watch onto the stage. This will help the club head or the host of the meeting to provide a sustainable audience who is paying attention. The sofas/chairs will be faced towards the stage so they can watch. BOARD The board will be used as an announcements board. This will help those who are unable to make it to the practice to see the meeting minutes of the previous meeting. This will also help those who arrive to the meeting know what the current meeting will be and any future plans that the club will be partaking in. CHANGING ROOM The changing room is another must-have that a theater room should require. In most cases, outfit changes will be happening a lot. There should at least be two separate rooms side-by-side (to ensure enough space) that the actors can use to change during rehearsal. A vanity may also be available nearby with mirrors, makeup, and wigs to help those changing get an idea of what they want. SMALL AREAS FOR BREAKOUTS Breakouts are essential if you want to learn different ideas from different people. Being able to break up your club into different groups can help you get totally different ideas from these groups. Whether you give them a topic or let them improv, having them come up with their own scripts and ideas will allow the club head/host to get a better understanding of what his/her team prefers. Why is your club a good fit for Gavatha Academy? Every school needs a theater club, it's normal! The theater club is a good fit for Gavatha Academy because it'll help gather people who have similar interests in acting, writing, and the intricacies of working backstage. By having these like-minded individuals, the Theater club aims to create a vibrant hub of creativity within the school. The Theater club helps celebrate those who love and have a passion for performing arts. Whether one is drawn to the spotlight or prefers to work the magic of behind the scenes, our club welcomes all! What rules or requirements do you look for in new members? The only rule I ask for people who join is to have an idea of what they're applying for. More context will be given for each role. Co-Leader: The co-leader must have good leadership skills. This role will be chosen after and is not an applicable role. Mascot: The mascot is for someone who does not like to be put in the spotlight via talking, but likes to move around and be the center of attention. Writer: Writers must be able to write a decent amount of writing within a short period of time. This ensures that we can easily fix issues. They also must be able to identify good skills within a person and will be able to give the right role to the right person. Actor: The actors must be able to. . . well, act! They need to have the ability to talk in front of a crowd without fail. This may seem like a tough decision, but it's virtual and much easier to do. They must be able to adapt to the personality given to them and must not show their own personality within that character unless it's based off them. Backstage: Backstage must be able to help fix problems and be able to direct well. Backstage people will help actors know what to do if lost. Anything else would like to add? No.

  10. IGN: Poseter What Language are you applying for?: Chinese How did your character learn the language?: Xiang Wu was born in China however was raised in Korea. Xiang’s caretakers didn’t want him to not know his native language so they helped him learn. He took classes at the age of 5 and grew more interested in his language. After all, he only knew Korean. Xiang had no help other than his teachers and one of the caretakers he’d been raised by. The other kids they’d had didn’t know Chinese either and neither did the other caretaker. He learned through classes, Chinese ads, books, and music. He’d listen to so much music and learned many phrases through them. He’d been so young yet was praised for learning the language so quickly. His teacher passed away causing his caretaker to soon give him classes on Chinese. He learned piano as well, learning many Chinese originals. How does this benefit your character's roleplay?: Despite his name, this’ll let him speak with other Chinese speakers! Although he knows nearly nothing about China, he knows a bit due to learning it. Learning his native language will make him feel more a peace. He’d hate to be from China and not know their language.
